Hi all,
I'm wondering if anybody here knows how deep the pipe which brings fresh water into your house, off from the street, should be in the ground?
Reason being during some gardening this weekend we hit ours and created our own water feature! It was only about 1-2 inches under the soil at the front of the house. I thought this was pretty shallow! I figured they should be at least several feet under the ground.
Anybody know the building code/standard for this? It was a pain to get fixed and I'm worried about digging anymore in my front lawn in case I hit something worse, like a gas line! Of course it's entirely possible that this is normal and just how they do things these days... I've no idea.
