We are a photo hungry bunch hey zarli we are building with kerdels, they seem friendly so far. we are building our own design in an effort to keep costs down. have done colour selections, but no fotos of them yet. will get round to that soon. did my selections at european ceramics. have picked browny tones in hopes they don't outdate too quickly. haven't figured out how to get a copy of my floorplan on here. don't think i have a digital one yet. but it's kinda a basic rectangle with one jutty out bit viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43238 building with kerdels in gabbadah, wa block purchased april 2010 signed with builder oct 2010 papers signed jan 2011 prestart done 17/01/2011 Re: Gabbybuild's build thread 5Jan 21, 2011 4:30 pm HAHA! Such technical lingo..but I undersand what you mean about the "jutty" out bit! Do you have river/ocean views on your block? Guilderton is such a nice area, spent a lot of holiday time at Moore River in my younger days I have never heard of Kerdals, but I haven't heard of many builders other than the large project builders...i hope your journey is a good one! Do you know how long you might be looking at for your build? not sure really hoping to be in by xmas. have just got prestart changes back in the post 2day......hmmmmm getting charged extra for tiles that they had said in their file were standard. will be querying this one. will prob have to take out rangehood in kitchen, but most other stuff was electrical and kinda needed. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43238 building with kerdels in gabbadah, wa block purchased april 2010 signed with builder oct 2010 papers signed jan 2011 prestart done 17/01/2011 Re: Gabbybuild's build thread 9Jan 21, 2011 11:23 pm my OH has informed me he will get a houseplan in jpeg form for me so i can load it on here. have done an email reply to builders about prestart changes, hoping the tile thing doesn't become a big thing. heard back from bank today too, and they aren't playing ball like they should.... they will give us enough for the build, but not the extras, like septic, water tanks and shed etc which aare kinda needed. trying to find a possible solution atm viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43238 building with kerdels in gabbadah, wa block purchased april 2010 signed with builder oct 2010 papers signed jan 2011 prestart done 17/01/2011 Re: Gabbybuild's build thread 10Jan 22, 2011 10:54 pm Nice plan, love the home theatre set up! Your house is huge and has sooo many extra rooms, for the kids etc..fantastic! Banks never play like they should We thought they would cover all our extras too but they didn't and we didn't realise until after and had to fork it all out before they would start to build, but thats another story in itself Where did you pick all your tiles and everything? Re: Gabbybuild's build thread 14Jan 23, 2011 11:24 pm we r about 45 mins away, so not that close, we head up every weekend, (and i have been going up once during the week while on holidays), mainly coz my OH thought it a wonderful idea to put plants in b4 we r living there so we will get shade sooner but it does mean that there r plants (approx 90 atm) that need twice weekly watering during summer... plus we only got the bore working a day or 2 before xmas, small tank in this week, so have got 6 plants on retic as of today, the rest i fill up water bottles and cart them around to water grrrr. do know it will be better in the long run, but hard work atm. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43238 building with kerdels in gabbadah, wa block purchased april 2010 signed with builder oct 2010 papers signed jan 2011 prestart done 17/01/2011 Re: Gabbybuild's build thread 15Jan 30, 2011 10:44 pm have hit another brick wall with the build.... didn't realise prestart had to be paid for upfront...no-one had told us at the building company. We designed our house mainly around where we were going to stick all the kids junk! I can empathise with you having to travel to water your plants - although we only have 25mins we have to visit the farm each day to feed our animals and it is a major drag! (~$1600) boo. they were trying to argue that i was only allowed 200 x 200mm tiles, where my prestart file and the lady in the shop said otherwise. got nowhere with prestart consultant, so went back to the sales guy who signed us up. he has said he'll try to sort it out, so hopefully won't have to pay. OH is onto sorting out septics, spoke to council 2day, they ok with septic spot, but still have to wait for their final say. but definately no shed allowed, so will have to wait till slab down. which means we can't sell this place till shed is up, will have to hold off a bit longer.... viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43238 building with kerdels in gabbadah, wa block purchased april 2010 signed with builder oct 2010 papers signed jan 2011 prestart done 17/01/2011 Re: Gabbybuild's build thread 20Feb 01, 2011 11:17 am Love the plan and the selections gabbybuild! your home will be gorgeous We hired Darbecca to do every stage inspection, and I strongly recommend them to anyone that asks me.
