Re: Ant & Shannons Coral Homes - stradbroke 279 27Mar 02, 2011 7:21 am Thanks Paul, very surprised at house fast they're moving! Spoke to the site supervisor yesterday and he said they should start on the slab tomorrow. What stage are you at with your place? It's looking great! Re: Ant & Shannons Coral Homes - stradbroke 279 28Mar 02, 2011 1:14 pm Thanks! We should be in by the end of the month (we hope). Theres some plumbing to do inside, some retaining outside + fencing.. then just carpets and the final fixtures (door handles etc). Everything just seems to take so long. It must have taken us at LEAST a month from starting the cut until the slab was down. Ours was a custom design so I can sort of understand. We started September last year and just cant wait til its finally finished! Re: Ant & Shannons Coral Homes - stradbroke 279 29Mar 02, 2011 3:10 pm OMG it looks huge!! Look how spaced out the pipes are! Very exciting. Just one question. Who did your building approval? Was it express plan approval services? We got a letter from them today to say they were doing ours. Can you remember how long they took? Howdy Tamara Yup EPAS did our building approval submission, we got our letter on the 12th of Jan for engagement of their services. Then we got our development application decision notice on the 1st of Feb. so about 3 weeks i think Re: Ant & Shannons Coral Homes - stradbroke 279 34Mar 07, 2011 7:41 pm Oh yay, you have a slab Woohoo It is amazing how small it looks when it is just a concrete pad. Though it will be far from small!! The approval for our plumbing and drainage came through today and we spoke to our site supervisor for the first time. Yayyy!! Re: Ant & Shannons Coral Homes - stradbroke 279 37Mar 12, 2011 7:04 am Love it, love it. They are not wasting any time!! We have had a hold up See our thread. One is a pain in the butt (bloody council) but the other hold up is Coral trying to save us money, so I shouldn't complain. LOL. I am so excited for you. Must be neat walkignt hrough the rooms. Re: Ant & Shannons Coral Homes - stradbroke 279 38Mar 20, 2011 11:24 am We now have a roof! We also met with the electrician yesterday. We are still held up in council because of this acoustics crap. Apparentlyit will take another 2 weeks Re: Ant & Shannons Coral Homes - stradbroke 279 40Mar 20, 2011 6:54 pm It is! Not sure when things are happening from now, hopefully we'll talk to the site supervisor tomorrow. Ohh that's so annoying! I hope they sort it out as quickly as possible for you so you can get your start date. Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4342 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74701 |
