The house looks so crisp and fresh. Do you have a hand over date yet? Or is it tomorrow? Re: Ant & Shannons Coral Homes - stradbroke 279 84May 15, 2011 10:06 pm quick question... you have downlights in the main dining/living space right? if so, how many did you go for, 6 or 9? I've got 6 down at the moment but I'm thinking for an extra $200ish that maybe going to 9 would be worthwhile. Very nice!! The more I see white kitchens, the more I love them. The house looks so crisp and fresh. Do you have a hand over date yet? Or is it tomorrow? Howdy Tamara, handover was supposed to take place this morning. we've just come back from the house after meeting with the supervisor to have some stuff fixed up, eg marks and chips in the walls, some doors don't close properly, slab needs self leveling compound put on, bricks need to be cleaned. So no handover until those issues are fixed and they have the final cheque. im thinking friday is the day now. BayBuild Wow - there mustn't be much left to do..... hope you are all packed and ready to move soon! This is the part we're dreading i wish all our junk could just pack itself and teleport to the new place. Upnorth quick question... you have downlights in the main dining/living space right? if so, how many did you go for, 6 or 9? Do you mean where the kitchen follows onto the dining and family room, ie where the alfresco sliding doors are? we went with 6 CFL downlights switchable in 3 pairs so we dont have to have all the lights on. Over the breakfast bar we have another 3 hanging pendant lights and another downlight in the kitchen. When all these lights are on it is very bright - not sure if u'd need 9. ill try get some pics for ya. for ya. Re: Ant & Shannons Coral Homes - stradbroke 279 86May 16, 2011 3:58 pm Oh how disappointing about the handover. Fingers crossed for friday for you. Re: Ant & Shannons Coral Homes - stradbroke 279 87May 16, 2011 5:49 pm Yep, the area where the alfresco doors are, that's where I meant. OK, 6 is what I had originally, and yeah, in 3 pairs. Then we're going to have 3 in the kitchen. I'll save the cash then if that's bright enough! I figure you are in your house now and all settled in. I have been waiting patiently for pics, but thought I would be a bit more verbal now lol. Hopefully all is well and you are enjoying your new home. Post some pics when you are ready please Re: Ant & Shannons Coral Homes - stradbroke 279 89Jun 07, 2011 5:17 pm Nope still not quite there yet we've just got our bamboo flooring laid and the carpet goes in tomorrow! we had a bit of a drama with the skirting boards not being tacked on so the flooring guy can remove them for a flush fit between the flooring and the skirting board. this has now been fixed up by using a small scotia around the perimeter of where the bamboo is. HOPEFULLY fingers crossed we'll be in there next week but ill get some pics for ya on the weekend Re: Ant & Shannons Coral Homes - stradbroke 279 90Jun 07, 2011 8:24 pm snaps Nope still not quite there yet we've just got our bamboo flooring laid and the carpet goes in tomorrow! we had a bit of a drama with the skirting boards not being tacked on so the flooring guy can remove them for a flush fit between the flooring and the skirting board. this has now been fixed up by using a small scotia around the perimeter of where the bamboo is. Re: Ant & Shannons Coral Homes - stradbroke 279 91Jul 05, 2011 8:08 pm Hi Ant and Shannon. How'sit all going?? I have a question for you. Was your cooker easy to move when you pit down the flooring underneath? It just occured to me that the cooker looks rather heavy and might not be able to get around for the flooring. I hope you are enjoying your new home. Would love to see some pics if you have some Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13745 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish.
