Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone else with land in the Pasadena Estate, Clyde VIC? 21Aug 23, 2012 10:30 am We went out to Pasadena yesterday and were told to expect 6A to title in early to mid Sept. We've had our loan approved for a year with a renewal after six months, but with concerns about what the undervaluing of the land could be now we've actually changed our building plans to make our loan more modest - building an Ascot 35 with Carlisle instead of a Prominence 38 (we've actually ended up really happy with this decision). Because of this though after all this time things could be tight with our loan if it does title then, and the girl out at Pasadena was totally unsympathetic about it. The worse part is that that was the fourth time I've spoken to her and it's been clear each time she has no idea who I am. Really reinforces that we're just a number and a deposit to Villawood.... And with the developer's promotions- paying 5% builders deposit, which to us, is over 10k, we decided to go ahead with the purchase. Re: Anyone else with land in the Pasadena Estate, Clyde VIC? 23Aug 23, 2012 9:03 pm Today we got a letter saying 6A will title late Sept / early Oct. Doesn't seem like these guys have their communication together!!! Same person we spoke to in person, same poor manner, in fact she was rather abrupt on the phone. Turns out she works for Oliver Hume, not Villawood. I then phoned Villawood directly and talked to an extremely helpful person, Nancy, who told me that she had just been at a meeting regarding the titles and that the letter was correct - end of Sept is best case scenario. She was rather surprised to hear that Oliver Hume told me that they would "have to confirm" the letter as she wrote it herself! I certainly won't be bothering with the Oliver Hume people any more and will be going straight to Villawood for anything else. Nancy was extremely helpful and I feel much better having spoken to her. You can also get an update on the release dates at the webpage below http://www.pasadenaclyde.com.au/construction-updates I have just been made aware by mortgage agent that the bank will be doing a valuation of the land plus build next week. Hope they are happy with the costing. Re: Anyone else with land in the Pasadena Estate, Clyde VIC? 26Aug 24, 2012 12:14 pm osanya Am glad the release date was eventually clarified. Oh yes I had seen that update on the website already, but when I pointed it out to Mai at Oliver Hume (the person at the estate) she a) wasn't aware of the change and b) said she thought it was incorrect. It's pretty deplorable when the person you have at the face of your estate doesn't know what's going on, and further clearly communicates she doesn't really care how the situation effects the people involved. (yes I am a tad bitter, I will get over it lol ) Building the Ascot 35 with Carlisle Homes in Pasadena Estate, Clyde VIC My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59776 Re: Anyone else with land in the Pasadena Estate, Clyde VIC? 27Aug 24, 2012 12:20 pm By the way osanya, good luck with your valuation! We are building with Carlisle and they have been brilliant. Who are you building with? Really surprise is that low. Not sure what yardstick they've used but I believe is because there are no new dwellings near PASADENA to compare with, but we're still going ahead with the construction. Re: Anyone else with land in the Pasadena Estate, Clyde VIC? 35Aug 30, 2012 10:18 am Yikes! That's a bit scary. Who are you building with?
