Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building the McLaren by Dechellis 81Feb 19, 2011 8:29 pm It's great news that they were able to do the plumbing as I think that might have been one of the things that would have held you up. They should be able to do the rest of the preparation even if it rains a bit. Re: Building the McLaren by Dechellis 84Feb 22, 2011 9:06 am Congrats on getting slabbed. That's a very good layout. I like the size of your main bedroom headquarters Will be very luxurious. It's great how your builder does your electrical layout so neatly. Mine is a scribbled mess, which I don't know how the electrician won't have trouble making sense of. Re: Building the McLaren by Dechellis 85Feb 22, 2011 9:32 am Thanks Theresa, yes it does have the wow factor esp with the 3m high entry and retreat - I love it!! Our electrical plan was also a mess until we went to the final selections meeting which is when we were given this version. I'll have a look at your thread - what stage are you up to? Re: Building the McLaren by Dechellis 86Feb 22, 2011 10:20 am Mclaren Thanks Theresa, yes it does have the wow factor esp with the 3m high entry and retreat - I love it!! Our electrical plan was also a mess until we went to the final selections meeting which is when we were given this version. I'll have a look at your thread - what stage are you up to? We've finished all our selections with the builder. We're just waiting on our old house to be demolished. Should happen this week. Then we can let the builder know we're ready to go. The builder will have to survey the site and it should be 3-5 weeks after that that we get slabbed Re: Building the McLaren by Dechellis 87Feb 22, 2011 10:44 am Congrats on your slab. Can't wait for pics. And I've said it before, but I'll say it again, I love your plan. We have a bottle of bubbly in the fridge but it might be the weekend that we celebrate and have a proper slab party. It would have been nice to share it with you. What sort of food did you have? Perhaps a cocktail party would be nice - only joking!!
