Lucky you having dates. Still waiting for the bank approval (Broker stuffed up and didn't submit our bank pack within the 6mth time frame, we had been preapproved). So now the bank knows we have a contract on our house and they seem to be on the go slow to approve. I look forward to following you and hope that I won't be far behind you. Re: Building the McLaren by Dechellis 64Feb 17, 2011 1:11 pm Hi Mrsroc, We are very fortunate that is one problem we don't have - being a bit older we were able to sell our house and have enough to buy the land and build a house without having to go begging. I hate banks Thanks for your comments - I look forward to following your build too. Can't wait to drive past the block on the way home tonight and see what's happened. There were three trucks and a couple of large piles of soil there yesterday and I think they are doing the trenches today. Can't wait to see the portaloo though! You must be excited enough to burst I reckon - not long now - are you able to sleep at night or do you have a thousand things going through your mind? I know I would - I have already!! Re: Building the McLaren by Dechellis 71Feb 17, 2011 3:40 pm Definitely the latter! I have not been able to sleep properly at all and didn't realise how many 'little' things (internet, mail redirection, Telstra connection, moving truck, cleaners, insurance for new house, organising bank cheque, window and floor coverings etc etc!) there are to organise!! On top of that I am learning a new job and we are keeping this house to rent out so also having opens for people to come through, so trying to keep it neat and tidy around all the boxes! AAAGGGGHHHHH! Oh well - it will all be worth it! I just can't wait to get in there and be settled and ENJOY it all! Re: Building the McLaren by Dechellis 72Feb 17, 2011 3:43 pm It'll be worth it to have your dream home and your ensuite! Don't think I've seen enough pictures of that! Have fun getting 'slabbed' next week x Re: Building the McLaren by Dechellis - Something's happenin 74Feb 18, 2011 11:46 am Went to the block yesterday to see what had been done and found some soil moved around and some trenches!! Today Adelaide is expecting the wettest February day for over 30 years so doesn't look too good for the trenches. Will take some more photos on the weekend - we're off Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ For info on our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43093 Built the McLaren by Dechellis - slab down 22 Feb - handover 30 Aug 2011 - and gardens finished 9 Dec 2012!!
