Exciting news - got an email today to say that the builder is working towards an end August handover!! We will arrange to have a proper look through the house soon and will then let them know what items need fixing. We've already noticed a couple of things but need to spend some time going through everything properly. Woo hoo!!!!

woohoo i wonder who will win the race. We havn't had any written confirmation yet but the SS did say the 19th and he hasn't said otherwise yet. Painting started yesterday so I'm thinking we're in for a chance now.
On your marks...

Very good We want to get gates, driveway, paving, etc done before we move in so we probably won't move till closer to the middle or end of Sept - it's worked out really well having the rental until October if we want.

wow that's a big overlap. Will you sleep at the rental or the new house after handover? I'm itching to get in. At this point we're thinking we'll have a 2-3 day overlap. I'm thinking that's going to be hard though, considering I'll need a whole day to move, a whole day to clean the rental and another day for all the loose ends. Hmm maybe we need to do the same as you haha!
