Let us see how it goes Hi Bruno, If I may ask, who do you go with for the fencing and the driveway? Also for the forum's user benefit, that $10k bond refund appears to be only happening once Mirvac has done its front landscaping which according to one of the residents, seems to be taking its sweet time (up to 3mths) Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 288Mar 18, 2012 10:15 am I am planning to get the driveway done by 1300 driveways. Fencing is yet to be decided. We have some excavation and retaining walls to be done as well. So I will shop around a bit before we decide on that. Does PD provide you with any fittings in the bathrooms e.g. tissue holders, towel holder etc. These were not available at the colour selection. Any ideas? Any ideas? When PD did the drawings, I recalled the Coordinator asked me for the location of the clothes line and bins for compliance purposes. Therefore my conclusion is that they just need to know where to put it and not necessarily having to have it although PD provides for the bin at the very least (not sure with the clothes line which I think it's ugly anyway). Having said that, those who are already settling should have a better idea. PS: Tissue holders/towel holders, etc... i doubt it. Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 292Mar 20, 2012 11:05 pm Congrats guys, great to see a few more of you moving in. For fencing, we used the same fencers Mirvac are using to do all their fencing. Top class Fencing http://www.topclassfencing.com.au/ As for the bond, we should be getting it back anytime now. Mirvac came by to inspect and check everything off. Front landscaping is outstanding, but I was advised that the bond will not be held back due to Mirvac not being be to get landscaping done in time. We have been in for about 4 months and still no progress with landscaping Hope that helps! Layout Control 5 is the guidelines but I heard even fencers are finding the guideline difficult to comprehend. Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 296Mar 25, 2012 7:06 am Hi all, We should be getting the keys some time next week and plan to move in around/after Easter. Reality hits and I am starting to worry about the little details...... 1) Fencing : I was talking to a fencing guy and he was telling me about the issues with the estate covenants and retaining walls. He is planning to meet with the Cust Service people in Harcrest on Monday to understand what is allowed and what is not. Hopefully, he is able to meet with them and they are able to provide some clarity. 2) Internet and Telephone: Hi New reisdents, How are you guys managing with the mobile internet and without a landline phone. Does the mobile internet have strong enough signals in the area? We've finally had our design approved after 8 weeks !!! anyways the approval is conditional, based on additional info. The main issue was the exposed aggregate driveway not passing as it needs to be charcoal!! Not the colour i want, however the driveways i've seen finished in the estate are exactly what i'm after. Can someone advise what that colour is and roughly how much? Furthermore what type of compost you've submitted? Looking forward to slab start this week...fingers crossed!! Thanks Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 298Mar 26, 2012 11:52 am Hi mjn, Congrats on approval of the plans. Wish you well in this journey. By th way, what is your lot number? The guys in and around Cerise Street, who have got their driveway done have all got it in exposed aggragate. And, apparently, the colours you see there in exposed aggragate are acceptable. Charcoal colour is when you go for a cemented driveway. I remember Tramsok checking this out and explaining on this forum. Please check with Mirvac for confirmation. Can someone advise what that colour is and roughly how much? I understand Macquarie Mix would be ok but please double confirm with Mirvac. Cost should be circa $3k, no more than $4k but I still think $3k is too expensive. It's a bit unclear if you are building with PD whether or not you would get the area just before the door entrance concreted (sorry I don't know what that area called, "patio" maybe?) Does the mobile internet have strong enough signals in the area? Fencing remains to be an issue although there are 2 houses at Cerise that has the fencing already done. Rob Kuhne is the only one I know most people in that street are using. Sorry can't help you much with internet and telephone.
