Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 13, 2011 6:31 am Hi Everyone, We are about to start building in Sydney, & the construction co-ordinator has contacted us saying that the Hydraulic Engineer ( We arranged the Hydraulic Diagram ourselves) has forgotten to include surface drainage ( the black underground pipes that take away any excess water from the back yard so that it doesn't flood). Since we are planning to add a patio & do paving once the house is finished, the Hydraulic Engineer said that this can be done after we do the landscaping ( as we want to Landscape straight away ), we also contacted the landscaper who said the same thing, so our question is: Do we need to lay these pipes asap as the builder said ( at an additional cost of $800 ) or can we do it after the patio & paving are done so that it isn't concreted over....Please help as we need to give them an answer asap. Re: WE NEED ADVICE, PLEASE HELP! 2Jan 13, 2011 7:01 am Do you mean slotted ag drains connected to the storm water? We did ours after handover. Re: WE NEED ADVICE, PLEASE HELP! 3Jan 13, 2011 4:39 pm Hi Just Erin, The only thing they said was surface drainage, when I made further enquiries, I understood that's what they mean...the thing is anything extra they do there is a 30% markup! Thank you @. Tried to play with the facade models but the exact colour is not matching up. 2 1033 Thank you so much for the effort. We will use it to talk with builder.
