Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 08, 2007 3:56 pm Hi All,
I saw the Antigua from Coral homes at Hamlyn Terrace - very impressed with the inclusions - 600mm eaves 8-1/2" Ceilings. Does anyone have any info regarding their service? They claim to be the biggest project home builder in QLD and are number 6 nationally. I am looking to build in Sydney. Please post any opinions of this company. Ta, McAngry Re: Coral Homes 2Dec 08, 2007 10:11 pm I don't know about Sydney but friends up here in Brisbane were looking at going with them but the base price didn't include much and with site works they came back with an extra $120K!!! The base price is very decieving. They also found them not very helpful with changes. That's up here though. Re: Coral Homes 3Dec 09, 2007 11:42 am The base prices don't include much, but the quality and workmanship is good. Re: Coral Homes 4Dec 11, 2007 9:53 am Quality does look good for the price but their sales staff dont seem too interested.
As they do not have two story display homes in Brisbane sales staff on two occasions have offered to locate houses under construction or just finished that we can inspect. The last one of these from Bayside Display Village hasn't come back to us in months. She obviously is so busy that she doesn't care or is hopeless at her job. I wonder what the rest of the service is like. Re: Coral Homes 5Dec 14, 2007 3:13 pm we were looking at going with them but found site costs very expensive we went with perry homes and got a bigger home 38sqm for about the same cost as there 28sqm we did have treatment system and extra site works and come in around $172,000 with a few changes Re: Coral Homes 6Dec 14, 2007 3:28 pm Perry Homes huh. They must be good....
There's one review on Coral Homes here: http://www.bestbuilder.com.au/ Cheers Re: Coral Homes 7Dec 19, 2007 9:49 pm we had friends build with coral a couple of years ago, they put the house in the wrong spot

So far, they've been nothing but helpful, so we're looking forward to seeing how the actual construction goes, now that we're nearing that point... Turn it up, Ails! Re: Coral Homes 9Aug 19, 2008 8:21 pm We built with them 11 years ago in the Redlands, Brisbane......I know it's been a long time and things change but they were fantastic. My parents went on to build with them too. We built the Brampton 232 25sq and the only issue we throughout the whole process was the tiler putting up the feature tiles wrong in the kids bathroom oh and someone kept stealing our bath
We made alot of changes, everyone was very accommodating and nothing was too much bother. We finished our house, carpet, tiles, security screens, driveway, front turf the lot for $100,000 - wish we were only paying that this time around Happy at Home Re: Coral Homes 10Aug 19, 2008 8:23 pm Alf Flamin' Stewart Got our start date today for a C0r4l home north of Brisbane... we'd spent a looooong time looking at what, where and how we were going to build, and the design we chose has everything we could ask for. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
