Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 10, 2011 11:11 pm hello im looking to build my first home, but ive heard such horror stories about a lot of the major companies. I would love to go with a smaller company hoping that they need to do a good job because they need the business as opposed to just being another number... anyone got any recommendations? ive been looking at P and J constructions but there is not much read up about them. Any info is greatly appreciated Re: P and J constructions? 2Jan 11, 2011 1:08 pm Hi, I dont know anyone that has built with them, however we did look very closely at them and loved some of their homes (Webster Way Pakenham - I think those displays have been sold off now tho!) they seemed good to deal with when we got basic pricing from them and they seemed happy to make changes that we wanted. What held us back was we did not want to be the first ppl we knew building with them. My thoughts were that if we asked them from refrences, they would not give us bad ones anyway. Not sure where you are building but we ended up going with Aaron J Homes, much smaller company with really good prices and no hidden extras, we have been totally happy with them! Worth a look! They have a new range of plans for first home owners, not sure that they are online tho! Good luck! Re: P and J constructions? 3Jan 11, 2011 2:34 pm lol thats the same reason i am a bit hesitant to build with them as well. thanks for the recommendation i will definitely contact them! have you finished your house or still in progress Re: P and J constructions? 5Jan 13, 2011 12:53 pm Letsbuild In the process! But honestly do not have a bad word about them!!! Go to their cascade on Clyde rd display!!! Good luck! thanks for that, ill probably head up there on the weekend, get a few references of places built and people in the current building process. possibly the reason there isn't much customer feedback may be because very few people recognize and acknowledge good jobs, they quite often just make it a purpose to post bad reviews... i did check up on Aaron J homes! loved a few of their designs... but the dont build in the western suburbs so that was a let down lol. you must be so excited!!!
