Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building at Golden Grove - The Settlement 161Aug 08, 2012 9:23 pm Our slab was finished being poured today. The top level was done yesterday and today the lower level was done. It's good to see work finally happening but we did notice that everyone else around us had each of their levels poured within a week or so. Bit worried now that ours was done too quickly. Wondering if anyone else has noticed how long it was between split levels being poured?? The end of hallett road looks a little ugly ( not just because I not have lawn in yet...) ....due to all those fences. Why are priates scary ? Because they yaargh.. Great news on shopping centre, don't think we will see Stage 6 for sale until LandSA get close to selling Parkwood Estate. Sooner the better, don't like having the paddock behind us. The Rossdale house was about 3 weeks behind and now it's ahead of us. The Metcon house is not far from completion by the looks, our block was being cut when it was slabbed. Your frame can't be too far away from being put up, surely!?!? One kid was coming around door knocking on her parents behalf the other week. Wonder what will become of it. I for one hope they change their minds about the annoying gum trees, a nightmare 15 years in the making for sure. If greenwith can have lots if nice pear trees, why can't we ? Also, that other development near bicentennial drive has a lot better landscaping than we do.... Maybe time to start another petition. Also - I believe the rest of he estate will be released in 5 or so years, most likely waiting for the market to recover. Might end up building again because I totally regret not making my house 50cm longer !!!!!! Why are priates scary ? Because they yaargh.. Noticed there was some action in stage 6 today, have not noticed anyone in there for quite some time. Still no shops, pub and playgrounds. Wonder why the retirement village didn't get gum trees?
