Re: What can I claim for after building?? 4Jan 09, 2011 11:33 am you can claim for a part of your crossover back in my area but have to have the right pavers ie a certain size (mine are to big), after land settlement we claimed stamp duty back, our settlement agent gave us the forms and we claimed straight after land settlement, think we got back around $800 can't remember now. That's all I know of. Check your council website about crossover rebate. Re: What can I claim for after building?? 7Jan 09, 2011 11:46 pm When we bought our land, we didn't think we would be living in the property so didn't claim FHOG, after a year or so we decided we were going to move into the house once it was built., so when the house hit plate height we applied for the FHOG. Then we were entitled to get our stamp duty back for the land as first home buyers don't pay stamp duty..so we will be getting the $7k grant plus about $6k back in stamp duty. Ours was not a house and land package and we are first home buyers - so a few variables that may not apply for you. We also get a $1500 rebate from telstra if we sign up with them, but this is not avail to all their customers - prob only the new velocity estates ...Hope some of this helped...
