As for the display homes, I do have a catalogue at home that has the address for some of them, so I'll check tonight and post it up. Re: settlers run, botanic ridge 44Jan 11, 2011 10:46 am WOW!! ..oooh the pantry and sooo much storage. fabulous Re: settlers run, botanic ridge 45Jan 11, 2011 11:17 am The pantry! Ahem...'Upper management' insisted we have a butlers pantry. Re: settlers run, botanic ridge 46Jan 11, 2011 5:34 pm The_Pezzas The pantry! Ahem...'Upper management' insisted we have a butlers pantry. Yep, I'm insisting on a butlers pantry too...not that I'd ever realised that I needed one before...but now I've seen them, I'm absolutely certain I need one...in fact, I don't know how I've managed for my entire life without one Re: settlers run, botanic ridge 47Jan 12, 2011 3:28 pm I rang SBG but they're still closed. The_Pezzas.. Would you mind giving an approx cost on your home to see if its in my budget. Re: settlers run, botanic ridge 48Jan 13, 2011 12:43 pm @lasttimehopefully The approx cost of the house is 400k. Its just short of 50sq all up, about 37 of that is living, the rest being garage/entertaining area and balconies. I think they're open again on the 18th if I remember correctly. Re: settlers run, botanic ridge 49Jan 13, 2011 10:08 pm thanks for the price. I cant spend that much and my block is too small even if I could afford it. I'll give them a call next week and see what they can come up with for us cos Im very impressed with your plan. Re: settlers run, botanic ridge 50Jan 14, 2011 7:11 am That price included a lot of extras as well so i'm confident in thinking that you'd be able to get something for much less. Don't forget the plan we have is a heavily modified Matilda house which is a great design in itself. I'd be surprised if they couldn't give you a good price on something. Re: settlers run, botanic ridge 51Jan 25, 2011 8:48 am Ive rang SBG twice and sent an email but havent heard back from them. Re: settlers run, botanic ridge 52Jan 25, 2011 9:08 am Lasttimehopefully I hope SBG contact you soon. We are now looking very seriously at Carlisle Homes Montrose 36. They are making a few changes to the plan for us to look at, as we need to add a study, and also extending the WIP because it's too small for me Only problem is that we think we are already over budget with meeting design guidelines (eaves, render etc), adding study, extending garage, big corner stacker doors onto the alfresco (which we've decided are a necessity ), upsize pantry etc. We haven't even considered upgrading tiles, electrical, bricks etc. Aaargh. I do love the house though. Re: settlers run, botanic ridge 53Jan 25, 2011 12:37 pm Hey Pinchy it sounds like your looking for the exact same house as us. We need 4 beds/study/2 or 3 living areas/big kitchen/lots of storage. Do you have 3 kids too? Have you looked at the Urbanedge displays at Eve in Cranbourne. Claire at the display lives at Settlers. were looking at the Uber but making it bigger to fit our block Claire is easy to talk to and knows her stuff. Re: settlers run, botanic ridge 54Jan 25, 2011 4:31 pm Yep, 3 kids Mine are little though, i think you mentioned you had teenagers? Yes, we need 4 bedrooms + study, 3 living spaces etc. Although we have a larger block than you, we can only build single story. Is the Uber double story? I was heading out there last weekend but we spent so much time at the Montrose display at Sierra that the kids had had enough and we had to go home. I'm still hoping to have a look at it, but we are really loving the Montrose. Maybe we should get together and compare notes Re: settlers run, botanic ridge 55Jan 26, 2011 9:18 am the Uber is single story but only 2 living areas. I would prefer 3 areas but unfortunately the size of the block is determining how many we can fit and if we had 3 they would be small and I like big spaces. My current house is 35sq so we going smaller and hopefully halving the mortgage too!!! Did you look at the PD displays Cabana and Churchill when you were at Sierra? I liked both of them and the Hebel option with PD makes them a bit cheaper. The Montrose is very nice I also liked the Eden. Re: settlers run, botanic ridge 58Jan 30, 2011 8:35 pm Hi all Good to see a helpful forum for Settlers. We have purchased lot 304 which is opposite Lasttimehopefully on the corner as well. We have spoke to both Claire from urban edge as well as we loved the uber too Another handy person who is ever so helpful and knows a lot about Settlers in Katrina from PD in Lyndhurst. She has been fantastic. PD are good as they have the 14 series. We are looking at the Camberwell or Forestdale. Forestdale has 4 bedrooms and 2/3 living areas as they have like a kids retreat/ study...... So hard with a corner block...... Just don't get stung on an expensive corner treatment when we've been told a window is sufficient. Has anyone been told about site costs??? I'd love to know now how much ours will be.... So much to think about Re: settlers run, botanic ridge 59Jan 30, 2011 9:04 pm Welcome Beemac42 The Forrestdale plan looks like a great use of space, how many kids do you have? We looked at a few UrbanEdge homes, but they weren't even close to what we wanted unfortunately. LTH have you heard back from SBG yet? It's strange they are not returning your calls. Looks like we have decided on a house! The Montrose 36 by Carlisle Homes http://www.carlislehomes.com.au/find-a- ... to-gallery . We love it, and Deb at the Sierra display has been super helpful, and has added a study and a storage room and is doing a quote and a siting for us this week. We are so excited! Have just heard that they will begin construction of our road 'soon' whatever that means Now we just have to get cracking and finish all the boring jobs that need doing in our old home so we can put it on the market 7 6251 I had a similar issue with my fridge not too long ago. It wasn't the same model, but the symptoms were pretty much the same: the compressor would start and then stop… 3 7536 |
