Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 19, 2010 10:03 pm Hi all gurus, I am putting some thought into moving back to WA, and am thinking if I do go back, that I might like to build again (I hated the building process, but I LOVE having my house exactly how I wanted it!) So, I wanted some feedback from people who have built homes in WA (to live in long term) and hear stories about builders that are worth going through, and those to avoid. I had a pretty good experience overall with AVJennings, but of course they don't build in WA I am looking at building at a pretty (comparatively) low-mid price range home on a smallish block again, somewhere between the city and Rockingham as close to the coastline as the budget will allow. Any recommendations or tips GREATLY appreciated!!! WA this time need builder ad 2Dec 20, 2010 8:49 pm Hi Ness , Welcome back lol Well if i was picking builders in WA in the 140k to 200k small block dwellings it would be Ross North , its not really the builder that your concerned with but the supervisor and most importantly trades but with Ross North i know for a fact that the main fella whos running RN was a excellent supervisor and notta bad bloke and thats a tradie sayin that who use to work on his jobs when he was just a supervisor (trent was his name) i would have Ross North build for me and theres not to many i would have another would be Steve owner at Distinctive Homes for the more personal builder. AVJennings arghh i remember they use to build in the west years ago worked on many of there houses. Well good house hunting and merry xmas Ness Re: Thinking of building again. I have heard good things about RN before, and you are right, at the end of the day the tradies and someone to keep it all going is definitely key!! I think I was lucky with AVJ simply because I was one of their first builds in ACT and all the tradies came from Sydney. I will have a look at distinctive homes too.. Probably out of my reach, but what they hey, worth a look Thanks heaps again and a Merry Christmas to you too!!!
