Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Slab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 92Aug 13, 2011 9:31 am We are so frustrated AGAIN..... Slab has just been sitting there and the house two doors down that had it's slab done after ours, already has it's frame and gutters on. Rawdon Hill told us the frame was starting this week... There was only one rainy day. Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Slab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 93Aug 14, 2011 10:27 pm We understand your frustration, but it's good that slab has been allowed to sit for the 2 weeks, pretty much same time frame that ours did. Hang in there, it's about to power along I'm sure. Have you checked out our progress?, we are almost at lock up and it's been about 8 weeks. We are both building at a good time, there's a bit of a lull at the moment so our houses will go up faster than usual. You are more patient than us! I think my husband is making me get impatient! Wood delivered today and cutting up started. Also noticed they have drawn black lines all over the slab where the rooms go.. Everything looks so small! Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Slab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 95Aug 15, 2011 7:25 pm Ive been told countless times by so many builders the longer the slabs sits before weight is on it the better. Id be wanting it to sit there as long as it can! http://lindeman28.blogspot.com - Our building blog Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Slab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 96Aug 16, 2011 10:56 pm Fantastic that's great news! Sense of space is deceiving at this stage but wait till frame is up it is so exciting walking thru the frame. Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Slab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 99Aug 18, 2011 3:43 pm Jasper Colorbond! Looing forward to seeing it. Apparently the roof trusses are going up tomorrow and the roof should be on early next week. We love tradies who work in the rain! How are you going 1615br? Your house looks great from the front! Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Slab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 100Aug 18, 2011 6:57 pm That is fantastic! So glad they worked in the rain, I was worried the rain would delay your frame but it hasn't. Our plaster has been delivered but waiting on some missing insulation before it goes in I think.
