They have done tonnes in two days. The whole floor is stuck down (not grouted yet) and the shower walls are stuck on. Very exciting. I am very pleased with how they like and the tiler has been great. He has called me twice to say things are not quite right... It turns out the lady in the tile shop was fairly average. We had to change the tiles in the en suite form being laid horizontally to vertically because the gap under the mirror is exactly the height of the tile. In the same call he suggested that our grout colour for the en suite was too yellow and the grout for the floor tiles should be a more gray tone rather than brown. The next day he called to say the shelf in the shower should be on another wall. Have taken all of his advice so far! Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Tiling away 126Oct 29, 2011 8:13 pm Great news! We found our tiler was great like that too! Love a tradie that takes pride in their work and cares about the finished product. We are just waiting for a call for inspection next week so can't be too far now! Our house is pretty much sitting there finished except the finials need painting and the inside of our bedroom windows need another coat. Happy days. Anyway, hubby has finally gotten around to updating our blog. Can't wait for more photos of your build! Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Tiling away 131Nov 09, 2011 7:24 pm Awesome! Would u believe our house is sitting there finished, we have cert. of occ but can't move in cos gas company haven't come to connect gas! So annoying. RH are never gonna give us a handover date it'll just happen when it happens. Very frustrating when u have to give notice to ur landlord not really knowing a date. Hope that doesn't happen to u.
