They put our windows in before the roof. Weird! House looks great.. Obviously you guys are not having the boards on the front! Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Starting to look like a hou 107Aug 28, 2011 11:20 pm Yeah, our windows were delayed a few weeks so that is the reason why. We saw a Montague built in Drouin in all brick front and liked it so much we went for it. I can't believe your roof is almost on already, tradies that work on the weekend huh? I don't think we've had that. You know at the rate you're going you just might get in b4 Christmas too! Bricking is all done (I somehow don't have a picture of this?) Plaster is all done - just need to do the cornices in the kitchen, because the kitchen is in!!!! Eaves are being done at the moment and they have cut all the skirting boards and put them around the house, so I am guessing tomorrow? Very exciting!!! There are weather boards to the front of the house, which still need to go on too, but they put up extra pieces of wood on the front today, so maybe they will do it tomorrow! Doors have also been delivered, but they are all sitting in the lounge. Very exciting! Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Kitchen action. 110Sep 27, 2011 10:37 pm Yay Christmas in your new home? Looks great. love the tiles Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Kitchen action. 112Oct 01, 2011 10:32 pm No communication at all really from the builder so who knows if it will be Christmas or not! We are finally actually locked out now for the first time.. Until Friday, there was always a door open. Anyway... Update is.. Skirtings half done. They have not done the ones that connect to doors, except in the back rumpus room, where they have done the doors. Sliding doors are on for WIR and ensuite. The supports for the shelves have been attached in the laundry cupboards and pantry. Eaves are about half done. Powerpoints, light switches and downlights are cut out. My husband's mate works for Wattyl so is upgrading all our paint and he called saying the painters were starting last week. Guessing they can't start until the skirtings are all done though. We are dying for the boards to be on the front so we can see what the house actually looks like! Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Kitchen action. 113Oct 05, 2011 11:02 pm I have 7 words for you! I read your blog to see where you are and since you started a month before us I figure we will finish a month after you! Christmas... YAY!!!! Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Kitchen action. 116Oct 07, 2011 8:11 am Wow our lock up and fixing invoices were one month apart. Seeing where your house is at though, it looks like your lock up invoice is a bit late. Your build is powering along! We're hoping our floor coverings will go in next week and not long after that we should have our first inspection. Can't wait! This is pretty much what our facade is going to look like!! Bricks under front window need to be fixed and the bricks around the top of the posts at the side also need to be done, then some paint and all done!
