The lady said site start shoudl be approx 2 weeks or so after that! YAY!!!!! Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Bank has approved us!!! 66Apr 30, 2011 12:36 pm congrats you must be sooo excited Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Council says NO. :o( 69May 09, 2011 6:17 pm Rawdon Hill have been negtiating with the council, but to no avail. Poop. We need to get the average height of the garage wall, which is on the fenceline down to 3.3m (5cm less than it is...) This is despite the neighbour giving permission, the developer already approving it and the builder said they have had similar situations where Casey Council has approved 4m average height walls. Argh! Anyway we have a solution... Which of course will cost more money. There will be a beam visible in the garage (which doesn't bother me) and it will shorten the wall a fair bit... I think from my understanding the wall will look like houses that have no eaves on that side. Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Council has approved us! 72Jun 26, 2011 8:31 pm glad to hear you have the permits.....but not happy to hear you wouldn't recommend your builder. What happened? Re: Building in Botanic Ridge! - Council has approved us! 73Jun 30, 2011 10:34 pm Hi wertmezer, We are also building the Montague in The Avenue Estate. It looked like we were going to have same problem as you with the garage height, and we signed off on the beam change but then the council did an about face and approved our plans. Go figure! We just had our slab poured on Tuesday. It does take a while to get going hey, but as Kristyv said once it does start, things do move along pretty well. Let's just hope winter doesn't hold us back too much. I hope to start a thread soon.
