Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 15, 2010 7:47 am I'm building the atrium 285 with the capri facade. http://www.avjennings.com.au/NSW/HomesToBuild/Properties/Atrium_285.aspx?OrderBy=Price%20ASC&ReturnUrl=%2fNSW%2fHomesToBuild%2fDoubleStorey.aspx We have selected our bricks and tiles and thought we had selected our other colours but we can't have light colours at our council. Our Bricks: PGH Pearl Grey Tiles: Boral Gunmetal What colours would look okay for the garage door and bagged features? Any suggestions would be great Re: Help with colours 3Dec 15, 2010 10:44 am d@n What do you mean you can't have light colurs? I'd stick with warm colours like jasper, loft etc. Oh council has specificed that we have to have dark earthy tones. I was looking at Woodland grey gutters & down pipes then windspray for the render and surfmist for the garage doors (this colour arrangement we both loved). But I now believe that the surfmist will be asked to be replaced so am looking at different ideas. One thought is Ironstone gutters and garage door and try and keey the windsray for the render?? Re: Help with colours 5Dec 16, 2010 12:57 pm d@n I have doubts about windspray with those bricks. What about a timber panel for the garage? That would go nicely with the brick. You may be right. I think maybe more contrast. Do you think if I went for Woodland Grey gutters, eaves, downpipes and then had the woodland grey for the render too it would look okay? Then what would we go for the garage door?? We do like the wood look but as that will be extra $$ (2 x doors too) we are trying to stick to the colourbond colours to select. Re: Help with colours 7Dec 16, 2010 4:31 pm d@n Never seen it used for eaves. opps I meant to say Fascia. Thanks forthe advice on Woodland. I have to use Wattyl colours so I'll see what is available Hey. Head to a metal and decide on which profile you will use first. Profiles with larger corrugations can greatly change the appearance of the color in different… 0 3380 I'd get the gutters to match your roof and pipes to match the paint - otherwise they become a feature. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 34265 |
