I am contemplating to change the sliding windows north of my dining area to SLIDING DOOR (see map) .
Do you think it is a good idea since it is only 2,5 m to boundary?
I plan to plant veggies outside the kitchen, so want to have shorter access to garden bed.

PS: after discussing with my wife and builder, we decided to stick to the original plan. Now, 20080423 i am still wondering why didnt we change to sliding door! It means, we have talk walk a quite a long way in order to pick some chillies, rosemary, etc...

Sounds nice, having access to a veggie or herb garden from the kitchen area.

The unit we're renting right now has the same layout (kitchen, family and dining) as yours and we have a sliding door at the dining area's side.
