Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 12, 2010 11:21 pm hi, We are looking at buying a new transportable home. We are in wa and wondering if anyone can recommend a company. Also i am bit worried about hidden costs so if you can let us know what we should be on the look out for. We are looking at buying a 1000sqm block in a country town, the block does not power or water connect but there is houses either side so we are assuming that it isn't going to cost too much to get it hooked up. Or are we dreaming and it's going to cost more than the block it's self ($15000). I would love to hear your stories or inks to threads or websites:) Re: newbies wanting information on transportable homes 2Dec 13, 2010 7:02 am hi shell make sure you check about whether or not you can put a transportable home on the block before you buy it. A lot of shires are not allowing anyone to install transportable homes within towns now days. So you might not be able to put one on the block. Yhe closest you might be able to get would be a kit home. newbies wanting information on transportable homes 3Dec 13, 2010 7:37 pm Also if you are looking at requiring a loan you had better see a lender first. Not many mainstream lenders will lends funds for a relocatable home. Some things are worth waiting for. 0 4986 We are at the stage on our build in Kilcoy, Queensland where we need to get our fencing installed but we cant get any contact details for our neighbours to give them… 0 6169 Ask for references and speak to them.
