Sorry for a late reply. How are you going with settling down? How are you going with settling down? Not a problem ourhome, thanks for the informative reply. Settling down has been going well, but still have heaps more things to do, curtains, painting, organising internet, getting some rugs and some appliances too (we're still using our old TV). Every weekend has been busy but the main thing is we're getting things done. Have you contacted VicUrban about front garden landscaping? Do you know how long it takes them between the time you nominate your design until they come out and do it? Re: Ourhome - done with blinds and curtains more pics 304Jul 17, 2011 1:51 am Yes Acherion, I have contacted VU for the front landscaping. It takes them from around 3-6months to get it done. If you haven't applied for it, I would suggest you to get it done ASAP, so that you can be in the queue atleast Re: Ourhome - done with blinds and curtains more pics 305Jul 17, 2011 4:31 pm I had applied for the design a couple of months ago now, I am just seeing other houses in stage 13 getting their front garden done and was wondering how far along we will be. Re: Ourhome - done with blinds and curtains more pics 306Jul 25, 2011 8:55 am acherion I had applied for the design a couple of months ago now, I am just seeing other houses in stage 13 getting their front garden done and was wondering how far along we will be. The developers are taking longer then expected for doing our front landscaping. There are two reasons for it:- 1. The weather of course 2. The stages in which we have our house were big releases and also it also had other stages too being released at the same time. It put a lot of work on the landscapers and it has been difficult for them to cope up. Re: Ourhome - done with blinds and curtains more pics 307Jul 25, 2011 12:59 pm Thanks for the update ourhome Re: Ourhome - done with 90days warranty period report 308Aug 16, 2011 1:57 am I sent my 90 day warranty inspection report to B'bank today. They called me back and wanted to sent some one to come over on Tuesday and have a look at all the points mentioned. I have got it postponed till next Monday. I was glad to have a prompt reply from Bbank. My inspection mainly had points of touch ups needed in paint, gaps in architraves & skirtings, leaking shower cubicle etc. They all are minor things, which I think if the trades are available then can be fixed in no time. Re: Ourhome - done with 90days warranty period report 312Sep 19, 2011 11:33 am Front of the house landscaping getting done today. Also the nature strip would be done. This would get completed over a weeks time. I am not spending anything for it as this would be done completely by the estate I love in. Hopefully they do it well. We have our landscaper provided by the developer coming tomorrow morning to look at our front garden and verge ... only problem is I won't be there and I'm the gardener Look forward to seeing pics when yours is done! Did you get much choice in what is being done/planted? I will be getting what I have requested for. I will post the pics of my selection too. Re: Ourhome - done with 90days warranty period report 315Sep 22, 2011 12:33 pm Went to Aldi today to buy the boat shaped sand pit for my kid. They had pulled back all the stock of that sandpit as there was some fault in the product. Hopefully they come up with something similar soon. Re: Ourhome - front of the house landscaping getting done. 316Sep 23, 2011 12:50 pm Hi everyone who have been following my thread, just a quick update. After I submitted my 90days warranty report to my builder, they started acting on it promptly. Very good service. The best service so far has been from Ecoclassic windows. Fabulous after sales service. Whatever issues I have had with the products were addressed to in a day or two and the product replaced in a short time. The contact person from builder's end has been very good too. Really happy so far. The front of the house landscaping is getting done and I am working on my back yard. There are so many things going on that I haven't got any serious time to do something there. The most I have done is used round up to kill the weeds, removed them and leveled one side on the land. I am planning to use crushed bricks for the path way in the back yard. In one corner I am planning to have a big sandpit for my kid and a cubby house. I know it is going to take a long long time but I think I can do it. Re: Ourhome - front of the house landscaping getting done. 317Sep 23, 2011 1:01 pm There are also a couple of other things I have to strike off:- 1. I need to get sone electrical work done in the house (pendant light on the kitchen bench top, a contemporary chandelier in the passage and heat lamps in bathroom and ensuite) 2. I need to fix the Sensor lights outside the garage and the porch.(can some one tell me how are the DIY sensor lights). 3. I have to get some lights fixed out side the house in the backyard and the other sides too). Looks like a lot on the plate. The other thing I had on mind was a feature wall, but we have dropped that idea currently and won't be doing it for a while. I have ordered for some BIG wall stickers from ozsale.com. I have received them and would be putting it up over a period of the whole next week. Will post the pics soon. One down, few more to go. 320Sep 28, 2011 8:54 am That's a bright happy picture - I bet it makes you smile every time you walk past it! I had a similar issue with my fridge not too long ago. It wasn't the same model, but the symptoms were pretty much the same: the compressor would start and then stop… 3 7551 Okay sorry silly me, my wife has solves the mystery for me. It’s because the labels on the ports are all wrongly positioned by the builder hence it confuses me. 2 1386 |
