Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 03, 2010 3:30 pm Hi, We like Beechwood Cremorne floorplan and asked them to prepare a tender for us. We are overseas right now so cannot go and see their display homes. Therefore I am wondering if anyone on this forum might go and visit Beechwood homes in Sydney this weekend. If you do go, would you please check out the Cremorne design and let me know if the living room is too dark? Thanks a lot! Jessica Re: Anyone planning to visit Beechwood display homes? 2Dec 03, 2010 10:36 pm I went out there a few weeks back and walked through every single display home so memory a little hazy. Is that the room right at the back of the house? If so, I think it's a great colour for a theatre room but too dark for a sitting room. There were block-out blinds in the room though, not sure how much difference it would make to the light in the room when they are open. If the Living is too dark, maybe there is a solid roof on the alfresco? If so, maybe you can change the roof not to be all solid? Eg. to have some transparent areas if it's light roof covering. Or, I think a skylight can always be installed above Living since this is single level (probably best to do it via the builder as they have to warrant it all together and you won't have 2 companies which may try to push blame to one another in case of any warranty issues).
