The cost associated with all of the drawings and documents submitted to council were included in our tender price. For the council fee my builder is charging me the council fee + 27.5% margin + 10% GST. Is it correct that builders charge margin on fees they pay on your behalf? Some of the margin you mentioned may also include insurance and other government costs.
