Our slab went down about 2 weeks ago and now were waiting for the bricks to be deliverd Hi Robyn and Luke, LOL - I love that I got your slab in the photo then! Your frames have already been delivered so I'm guessing your bricks are on the way very soon!!! (I had a snoop at the other homes next to ours LOL) Re: Building in 'The Glades' Byford with Celebration Homes. 17Dec 11, 2010 7:55 pm luke81 Congrats on Slab We are building in Aubin Grove. We too were about to sign with another builder however after loads of delays and overall a shocking experience we walked away and signed with Celebrations the following day. Our sales consultant is amazing and and our construction consultant and site supervisor have been great. They allowed us to make changes to the plan and to our fittings. We have not looked back. We are almost at lockup now. Our slab went down in early September and considering the house is 312sqm in total I think their construction speed it great! The quality to date has been fantastic. The render job is great! Could not be happier! I hope your experience is as good as ours has been. I wonder how many other people have had similiar experiences. It is very reassuring to read your post! I think Aubin Grove is really nice, my brother lives there...it's a great location! I can't believe you are at lock up already!!! Do you have a build thread? Would love to see photos of your house progress Re: Building in 'The Glades' Byford with Celebration Homes. 18Dec 13, 2010 6:45 pm Hey Kristyn, yeah our frames were deliverd ages ago, there was strong winds a couple of weeks ago and some of the frames were blown over and damaged. So i let celebrations know. i dont want bung window frames in my house haha the builder said their bricky team is just finishing off one of the houses and then they will make a start on ours. We didnt get down there this weekend, planning to head down maybe this sunday arvo haha yes we went snooping the other weekend too my partners sister is building in the Scarp byford with impressions, i went up there not last sunday the one before and they had a slab with just bricks. then a couple of days after all the walls were up! amazing how quick they go up. so i cant wait till we have bricks what brick did u choose? are u a red brick or a cream brick house? Would love to see photos of your house progress Our experience with our first builder was shocking. We waited 8 weeks for plans to be drawn up and then when they were finally drawn up they could not explain any of the structural pricing and when questioning the pricing we were basically told they had no idea why we were being charged the extra 50K however if we wanted the house we just had to pay it. Then they said we had 24 hours to review the plans, were told no more adjustments to the plan could be made and that a deposit had to dropped off the following day and the contract had to be signed that day also. Our sales consultant was so rude to my wife I was speechless. I tore up the contract that day and we rang Celebrations that day. We met with Celebrations the following day and signed with them 3 days later with our plans drawn up and all. Our Celebrations house is the same size, similar plan, better spec and came in 8K cheaper. Plus its great quality. We have never looked back. This is the 2nd house I have built and I will build with Celebrations again. They are great! Re: Building in 'The Glades' Byford with Celebration Homes. 20Dec 14, 2010 10:40 pm Hey Krystin… Congrats on your slab. It sounds like Celebrations are a great way to go. I’m not building with them – but I’ve had not a problem either and things are going very smoothly. I HAVE A ROOF NOW…. Wooooo Hooooo. I’m so excited….!!! Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74219 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
