Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 27, 2010 4:22 pm Hello, so we have our slab down finally, but having a look at where the plumbing pipes are, I cant see one for the water point for the fridge - should that be in the slab? Also I can see one for the dowstairs toilet but not for the hand basin, is it possible this doesnt go down through the slab? there are a couple of metres between where the basin is and where the wall of the house will be. Thanks in advance.. Re: Plumbing in slab for water point for fridge? 3Nov 27, 2010 4:32 pm Yep only the waste is through the floor. The water point will come down through the walls and be put in when the plumbers come before your plaster goes on. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Its an idea to locate it so you know where it is for the future if you need it for any reason. I had a similar issue with my fridge not too long ago. It wasn't the same model, but the symptoms were pretty much the same: the compressor would start and then stop… 3 5169 Building Standards; Getting It Right!
