Oh, that must have been different not having him around for a few days.
Glad the car is sorted and didn't cost a fortune.

Glad the car is sorted and didn't cost a fortune. Xx Re: J&M's Oakford Regent - SITE CLEARED 18th Jan 82Jan 21, 2011 12:58 pm So time for a proper update. Site work has commenced. Men were out there today doing the cut and fill work. YAY!! It has been a LONG 15 months to get to this point and I am so pleased that things are finally moving now. I am 5 weeks and 1 day pregnant. We are due to meet this bubba around 22 September and we couldn't be more excited, particularly Brodie and myself, but John is getting happier as the shock wears off!! Morning (aka ALL DAY!!) sickness has hit yesterday and have barely kept anything down yesterday or today, but at least FEEL better today than yesterday. Got a good roster at the moment, so that will help. Brodie has just come back from 11 days staying at my mum's. I missed him SOOOOO much and I am glad to have him home. Tomorrow we are going to the Dinosaurs Alive exhibition at the showgrounds and will take John down to see the progress on the block, and then I plan to do some serious housework to catch up on things. I am working early shift on Sunday and then have my godson's first birthday party, so that will be fun. Went to my son's old child care centre today to get an info pack to organise enrolling this one part time as I will prob go back to work part time (well even more part time than I do already) sometime around March next year. Mortgage for our gorgeous new home isn't going to get paid with me at home full time and I LOVE my job and don't want to lose my skills either. Well that is all for now. Best get ready for work and cook dinner for the family before I leave. That's awesome! Re: J&M's Oakford Regent - CUT & FILL COMMENCED 21/1/11 84Jan 22, 2011 7:48 pm Well we went to the block at lunchtime today and met our "downhill" neighbours and they seem really nice. Their site isn't due to start until end of February and have been told October handover. The cut and fill is almost completely finished Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is taken from front left of block. The left will be our bedroom and ensuite on the lower level, and the upper level left will have bedroom 2, laundry, bathroom and bedroom 3. The right hand side of this pic shows the middle of the house which will have the adults lounge room on the lower level, the kitchen, dining, family lounge, bedroom 4 (now THE NURSERY!!). Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is taken from the front right of the block. The lower level is the garage and the upper level is the alfresco (and some of the "middle" part of the house rooms). It looks too small. We know it will all be ok, but I stand on the lower bit and think "this is supposed to be ensuite, bedroom, WIR, lounge and hallway??". We thought the display house was really quite roomy and ours is a modified version (all room bar one are BIGGER), so no doubt it will all work out in the end Cant believe after 15 months of waiting that finally my house is being built, and after 6 years of TTC, our 2nd child is also "being built". 2011 is going to be one of the most fulfilling years of my life Megan and John Signed with Oakford 8/8/10 Plans at council 25/8/10 FINAL COUNCIL APPROVAL 29/11/10 Site start - 17/1/11 Cut & Fill commence - 21/1/11 Follow my build here: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=41283 Re: J&M's Oakford Regent - CUT & FILL almost COMPLETE 22/1/1 85Jan 22, 2011 7:57 pm oooohh that is so cool - YAY for 2011!! Don't worry about the size - it ALWAYS looks smaller when it's flat. Even once the slab is there you think "how is that my house??" however once you get your frame up and then gyprock it all starts to look bigger so try not to worry about it! I was exactly the same though! I think we all recall looking at the cut and then the slab and thinking "How is my house going to fit!". We even measured the slab and of course, all way ok. But just wait until your walls and gyprock are up - then you will really see what its like! I am really looking forward to seeing your build and also keeping up with the baby progress - very exciting 2011 for you! ------------------------------------------------------ Handover: 14 December 2010 Current: Putting in plants! Didn't go down to the block today (worked afternoon shift yesterday and early today and I am stuffed), but John, Brodie and I will head down on Sunday together to see where things are at. I am guessing slab by end of next week. I am feeling totally exhausted but otherwise good. No nausea or vomitting since Monday (thank god!!). Had my first scan on Tuesday and bubs was measuring perfect at 7.4mm (yes millimetres) looking like a perfect grain of rice. Saw a flickering little heartbeat. I have another scan on Wednesday this week at the reproductive clinic (had the first one done at an ultrasound place). ***** are HUGE and sore (gone from a 12B to a 12E in 3 weeks!!) but otherwise I feel pretty darn content. Thanks for asking. Will update with pics on Sunday.
