Not as bad as I was dreading. He did 5 hours with the rock attachment - not sure what M will charge and the guys boss never called me back but the digger man said wouldnt be more than $1K. We have electrics finishing off tomorrow and then gyprocker finishing off and tidying up next week and then lastly on the 19th the wooden floors go in and I think we are almost done. Just a site clean up and touch ups. Do you know anything about a garbage receptical that is in the tender? We have been charged $250.00 (i will ask our SS tomorrow - any ideas?) We are trying to organize ours and dont have any specs or guidelines. Does it have to cover the whole side or just the part that you protrude? Tried the Certifier but not returning calls... They need not go higher than this. • No individual openings greater than 30mm wide • Total of all openings must be less than 30% of the surface area of the screen You cannot use opaque film as a form of privacy. It needs to be fixed to the actual window – we can cover up to 100mm from the window but no further[i] Ours is CDC but presumably the requirements are the same for DA approved?? And I think (but could be wrong) the garbage receptical fee refers to the wheelie bin they put on site for the tradies (even though they never used ours, they just chucked their rubbish wherever - yuk!!!!) Its exciting to see you and sabs1 really come down the home stretch. But all those daily tradies and appointments - must feel like chaos. Can't wait for photos guys!!! Funny about the screen. I read about it in the CDC guidelines. We had screens in our plans for DA (thinking Council would want them - we certainly do for privacy), but Council have asked us to reduce them so it is "more open visually from the street". Go figure! To be so very very close! Alot of the jobs on your list (bar the grouting/tiling and exterior painting) should be quick jobs, the mirrors probably 1/2 hour, screens for the windows about the same, window service I think they just spray silicon on all the runners and give the glass a quick buff. They may be wanting to do PCI and fix everything else in the following 10 days (as its complete barring minor defects and omissions) and the all appliances, carpet etc are done after handover. You would think they would just want to finish off and get it done now. Have you reminded your SS about your rental date? I got hold of accounts and asked them to start preparing our final account. You might want to do the same as it can take a while if they are waiting on any invoices for variations etc. The bank can take up to 10 business days to pay them the final account as they get an inspector to come out. I think you might be cutting it fine as well if you need to get out of your rental early March.
