Thanks for finding me again lol.. Your house is looking great!! He said before Christmas easy, but just have to wait and see!! Thanks so much Kpatch for your compliments!! I'll try dig up a piccie of my plans. We went there last night and the tiler was still working there at 7.30pm!! We walked around inside and all the tiling is pretty much done but he said the grouting will take place tomorrow (being today - Saturday), and that he'd be finished by tomorrow. So we are going there again later today.. And meeting a fence guy for quotes.. I'm sooo ready to move in!! I'm sooo impatient.. All there is left to do now: Toilets and tapware Rainwater tank Mirrors & accessories Door handles Carpet Driveway They are also getting ready to pour our driveway! It's pegged out and dug out. Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=41002 Re: Building with Masterton 5Nov 13, 2010 10:15 am Congrats on the progress. Doesn't seem like there is much left to do. I think we've got the same stuff to go, except we're waiting on the painter as well, and the garage doors. It seems so close now for both of us, and boy is it exciting to think that possibly in a month or so, we'll be moving into our new homes. It really hasn't taken them very long to build our houses, but at times it has felt like it. contract signed: Nov 09 Released to Construction: 23 Jul 10 Slab poured: 9 Aug 10 Frame completed: 30 Aug 10 Windows & Gutters: 7 Sep 10 Bricks: 15 - 23 Sep 10 Roof: 24 Sep 10 Gyprock: 20 Oct 10 Lockup: 25 Oct 10 Kitchen: 27 Oct 10 Tiling: 6 - 9 Nov 10 Painting: 17 Nov 10 Carpet: 30 Nov 10 PCI: 15 Dec 10 Handover: 17 Dec 10 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=35943 Re: Building with Masterton 6Nov 13, 2010 10:33 am HI BZMZ, I have been wondering what had happened to you!! It's strange that your thread disappeared, have you asked H1 about it? The painting & tiling look great. You must be getting near the end if they are preparing your driveway. . .how exciting Good to hear from you again. To think we could be moving in there soon after months and months of paperwork!! The garage door is great it completes it. No doubt you will get that soon. And the tiling is just soo exciting isn't it! Will post photos from today when I return You're right though, they have done a pretty quick job! It's so exciting...... I think its because I didn't login for so long that it disappeared?? Yeh when we saw driveway preparation we thought Wow this looks serious!! It's pegged out. But to me, it still feels ages away.. but in reality, it could be a month away I guess?? I just need to organise all the bank and insurance stuff (interim occupation) which sounds stressful from what everyone else has gone through.. And fences immediately for our beloved hound... and we have to pay up front because our neighbours are builders but they also might wack up a fence if we wait.. We'll probably contact them to discuss. At least we could have what we want, but its going to set us back and ducted air is a must for me.. As well as plantation shutters and decking.. and furniture lol.. The list really does go on.. Hope all is going well with you! 1st Tender - 20 March 2010 Slab - 14 August 2010 Frames - 31 August 2010 Roof - 11 September 2010 Bricks finished - 2 October 2010 Lock up - 15 October 2010 Keys - 10 December 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you have lots of progress this week. It seems so close to being finished. I love that mosaic in the kitchen. And your floor tiles. I wish we were getting our floor tiled before handover, but unfortunately, we took it out, so have to organise the tiler once we have handover. contract signed: Nov 09 Released to Construction: 23 Jul 10 Slab poured: 9 Aug 10 Frame completed: 30 Aug 10 Windows & Gutters: 7 Sep 10 Bricks: 15 - 23 Sep 10 Roof: 24 Sep 10 Gyprock: 20 Oct 10 Lockup: 25 Oct 10 Kitchen: 27 Oct 10 Tiling: 6 - 9 Nov 10 Painting: 17 Nov 10 Carpet: 30 Nov 10 PCI: 15 Dec 10 Handover: 17 Dec 10 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=35943 Re: Building with Masterton 12Nov 14, 2010 6:43 pm Hi BZMZ, Well welcome back I'm so glad I found you....I'd been wandering where you were I can't believe your thread just dissappeared Your home is beautiful Those shiny white kitchen cabinets are and the mosaic tiles stunning!! Re: Building with Masterton 14Nov 16, 2010 9:11 pm Hi there Carlswil, Brb & Rarygirl... Thanks so much for the compliments... Today we went there and there were heaps of changes!!!! We now have.................................... A rainwater tank! The electrician has been and put in all the powerpoints and our downlights Our door handles are all on.. Our taps and toilets are in.... Accessories are all in our bathrooms! Alarms etc Driveway is being poured this week and looking great! And things that need to be fixed/done: - Those awful soap holders the tiler put in our showers, they gave us the stainless steel stand in the bath, and we saw the other ones there, but they didnt use them. So we let our SS know as the tiler will need to change that. - The tiler also needs to come back and finish grouting - Painters need to come back and complete bathrooms - Driveway to be poured - mirrors - next week - Shelves in robes - next week - Cleaners - next week - Powerpoints to be puddied as some have holes above them Our SS told us that late next week we'd do a first inspection/walk through and fix anything, then the week after is PCI!!! He said we will get keys 2-3 weeks after PCI so about a month away but it just depends on our bank! Our SS has done such a wonderful fast job.. We are going to buy him some beer! I have so many threads to catch up on, hope you are all going well in your builds and beating that Christmas time!!!
