Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 11, 2010 11:20 am Hi All I'm new to this forum as i'm desperate for some advice!! My problem is I have prestart this afternoon and we STILL haven't settled on a front render colour for our home. We are going to stick with one colour because our frontage is quite narrow and i think a feature would defeat the purpose as that would be the most that is rendered. We are having a dark charcoal roof. grey paving for the driveway.... charcoal window frames, fascia's/gutters etc now just the render!!? originally we thought a light grey colour... now my other half is thinking COLORBOND paperbark or something of the type. I don't know if I'm too keen on the cream/beige look.... i feel like it's been done. I wanted colorbond bushland... like a greeny/grey... he thinks it's too dark for the render. can anyone offer advice!? PLEASE!!? We can choose from solver range. I am looking at Baffin Grey (not beige/not grey) kind of in between I have seen display homes with a dark roof (charcoal) and the render being like a grey/almost green colour. I really like this but i don't know what the colour is called. I will kick myself if we hate what we choose!! Re: HELP!! RENDER COLOUR!!? 2Nov 11, 2010 1:20 pm Sorry i'm going to be more specific Roof: Monier Sambucca Tiles: Midland Brick Naturaliste Double Garage door: Timber stained (not sure which shade yet) Driveway Paving will be a lighter shade of grey (not too dark) Fascia's/Gutters/Window frames: ironstone or monument thinking for render colorbond sandbank or solver baffin grey Re: HELP!! RENDER COLOUR!!? 3Nov 13, 2010 8:21 pm Have you got any pictures that will help give an idea of the colours so far? I think if the bricks and everything else is quite dark then it looks quite good to have a lighter colour to contrast. Have you tried going into the display home you like and asking what the colour is? They will often help if you look like a potential client! Hi Alex, Thanks for the reply again. I had a chat with the builder, he said he will use primer, then hydrotec which comes with colour and sealer as well. A Renderer I… 12 18005 I am looking for someone who might have tackled a similar issue as me. I have a few rendered interior walls, the surface condition is hardly flat. I can see all the bumps… 0 7939 |
