Builder picked : KDs, a smaller builder in Perth Prelim signed : November 2, 2010 According to the Sales rep : 8 weeks from Prelim signing will be prestart and the building will be finished in under 11 months. It will be nice if that's true but I won't be holding my breath. We had to go with a drastically altered plan as our dream plan (perfected with help from you wonderful forum guys ) was out of our budget when we decided to change blocks at the last minute and move here: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I think it will be worth it though Re: Dee's Build 2Nov 10, 2010 8:12 pm Good For You , looks great and great view Luck Timeline Aug 08-Land Mar 09-Demo/Titles Sept 10-Handover No1 Sept 11-Handover No2 April 12-Sold No2 Aug 14-Land/Demo Jan 15-Slabs viewtopic.php?f=31&t=25736 Re: Dee's Build 3Nov 10, 2010 9:09 pm The view is amazing and will be well worth it. Keeping with my theme of a blank canvas I have come up with NOTHING! All of our furniture is really dark timber, love to hear suggestions? Re: Dee's Build 8Nov 13, 2010 8:25 pm Hi Dee, congrats on your new thread, new block & the great new plan!!!!! It's all looking awesome, so happy for you that things have really started now!!! I coloured it in using a couple of different drawing programs, will have a look for a pic of your elevation kiwi and do one up for you Re: Dee's Build 14Nov 14, 2010 9:10 pm just the same elevation as yours would be fine. it is kind of the same...roof, walls and a garage at the front ..so that will be ok for me to see what a light fascia etc would look like dont go to any trouble. it doesnt have to be my one. I like yours anyway! so I can pretend it is mine..ha ha Re: Dee's Build 16Nov 18, 2010 8:39 pm jimbo1 Love the plan Dee and the external colours. Nice to see the views are all good (ie: no looking into toilets from the front door).... Mrs Jimbo Thanks goodness Mrs Jimbo, I was hoping you wouldn't find any views We purchased a cooktop today, yay! We now have Sand and a Cooktop although will need to keep an eye out for new pots and pans as we bought an induction and ours won't work on it.... I wonder if you can just cook the beans in the can???? a can is magnetic isn't it Re: Dee's Build 18Nov 19, 2010 11:01 am Did anyone see The Block (tv show) this week, I love that rangehood that looks like a light, wow. If anyone over east is going to Freedom can you please check out the price for me, Freedom don't do kitchens in WA Re: Dee's Build 19Nov 23, 2010 2:12 pm Dee you won't believe but I've ended up with a view!!! I assumed the couch in our theatre room would be on the wall that I had planned, all looks good on the plan and in my mind but didn't double check the placement of the TV point. I am now insisting that the cable be run around the outside wall under the carpet so I'm not looking at the entry to the powder room - you can't actually see in but I know it's there!!!! DH and the builders think I'm nuts but I'm not budging on this, the extra cable cost is nothing compared to me whinging for years to come about a bad view!! OMG I can't believe you of all people ended up with a view. I totally agree with you, it's definately worth paying the bit extra am going to recheck my plans now Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 8 2249 thank you! do we need to get this or our builder before we commence new build on the block? 2 4420 Hi, did you get any money from insurance? if you did, does it match what you've already paid the builders? 3 5012 |
