Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 09, 2010 10:25 pm We have recently finished building and have an idea of what costs what. Some friends are getting quotes for a typical family room type extension of the back of the house inc a toilet and shower, nothing too flash just modern and spacious. The price's they are being quoted per sqm is nearly double to what we paid for a new house. We paid around $1300 psqm while they are being quoted around $2600. Does anyone know if extensions with a similar spec to a new home would have this much variation. MR.
