I was wondering if anyone know what cause this rain leak? As you know Sydney has been wet in November. Blessing in disguise? As much as i wanted the house done ASAP. i thought a good dose of heavy rain will test the house readiness to withstand crazy weather.
So i went to check the house daily and i notice this wooden block is wet (you can see trickles of white paint running down as they must be from the bagging that has been done last week), this windows is on the ground floor of double story house.
just to help visualise, below is the location of the wooden block highlighted in red viewed from outside (the whole house has brick skin)

i bring a ladder today to check if there is any leak nearby and is all bricked up!, no visible holes that i can see. ceiling is dry and i closed all the windows as i hate wet frames.
the water must come from somewhere and i was wondering if anyone has similar experience as me? but more importantly how can i fix this?
i dont know if the water is coming from the weeping hole from the 2 windows above? is it possible to trickle down?
is good to notice now rather than when it is dry and it has gone walled up internally and only to find out later that this issue is rotting your house away!
