Have you changed anything ruka? EDIT: Just saw you have started multiple threads with one pic in each ruka. You should either delete those threads or ask a moderator to have them removed (moderator's names are in green) and then just have all your pics in the one thread (like this one). You can edit your first post and put the progress pics in there by adding the links. Cheers. Built with Sw1tch H0mes >Build thread< House status 15/12: Gates and A/C finally installed! Couldn't put all the pics in at one time cause it wouldn't work but will have a go again and try and do what you suggested. Yes we changed the roof line in the theatre room to a portico as well to match the portico at the front entrance to make it look more balanced. The dining room windows (right of front entrance) were very small so changed the size to match the theatre room windows. The orientation of the display Ellenbrook is bdrm 1 & study facing front on a long narrow block with garage at the back. Thanks again for assistance Re: building 8/10 switch 5Nov 07, 2010 11:58 pm It's a he'll of a drive westy! I've still been reading all your posts though and see that lifefeggle is in-fantastic!! Had a site meeting with SS in the week they got back. The Carpenter here is probably the slackest worker they have - listening to the cricket & talking on the phone is his biggest asset. Only just finished lining outside ceiling at the front door and beading in alfresco on Thurs (been doing it since before Xmas). Anyway the news is that we will have hand over by 15th which is only 9 days away. We find it hard to believe - plumbing not finished, no kitchen doors, no hot water and so on and so on... not unless the tradies suddenly perform a miracle!! We're pretty sure ss gets up their ....! Asked him if we could book air cond, install for 18th and he said to go for it.. Seems a pretty ok bloke so he must be confident to be able to give us that date for handover. Anyway I'll keep you all updated as much as possible over next few days. This process started back in Oct 09 and it's been a hard slog at times especially when there seems to be staff coming and going all the time so no consistency. You just gotta stick to your guns!! The one good thing is Switch has great designs and we are very happy with the design we chose. Pics coming.... Re: building 8/10 switch 12Feb 06, 2011 12:41 am Hi ruka good to hear you are still around and almost finished! Wow, that is good news. Hopefully they do actually get it done for you. As abbeybox said in my thread, Sw1tch seems to find a lot of slack/bad tradies somehow! Maybe they're all that's left out there?? Anyway, as you said you've just got to stick to your guns and make sure it's done right. Looking forward to pics! Double oven AND built-in coffee machine! You'll have to let me know if it makes decent coffee... That kitchen looks very well thought out. What happened to the doors in there? Sep 09 Bought block, Dec 09 Engaged builder, Jul '11 Moved in Re: building 8/10 switch 16Feb 10, 2011 11:19 pm Well... we don't know the exact reason why they've been taking so long to put them in although we kept asking. The installer said so they wouldn't get damaged? They came yesterday to do them but only got half done. 1st thing, overhead doors are the wrong ones - should be framed glass not laminex - don't know how they gonna get them made up in a hurry.. ok Switch, go back to the drawing board and check the plans - again!! Not a tradie in sight today. Text ss this morning to give him the not so good news. We have practical inspection completion 17th. People scrambling yesterday, cleaners doing initial clean, steps finally finished in theatre, picture alcoves done. Toilets & tap fittings arrived today. We feel a bit like lacky bands stretched to the limit at the moment but we haven't got that long to go so just got to keep positive! Re: building 8/10 switch 17Feb 11, 2011 1:22 pm wow your ensuite and kitchen look like ours love the window in the kitchen - we've had mixed comments on it - like oh how do you keep it clean? um like any other splashbacks lol ( oh wait for the comments on the pop up power point ) hahaha ppl think it's like an old fashioned ashtray lol..... love the colours and alfresco Follow Feggle viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34992 Follow lilfeggle viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37149 Asbestosis Sux! They chipped out a small piece of the stone top when they installed them and have made an attempt to fix but still doesn't look that great. Will speak to SS in morning to see what can be done. Re: building 8/10 switch 19Feb 17, 2011 9:33 am I can't believe the list of things you have left! Good luck with PCI today, let us know how it goes. Just a couple of major things to be done that being install of kitchen cpbd doors & smart wiring & rangehood has to be external venting not recirculated. Got the low down on why cpbd doors are taking so long - some cpbd doors were damaged enroute from eastern states but some where the wrong ones anyway so awaiting next lot which takes about 10 - 12 days to get here. Maintenance people in as we did pci and back in again this week so all the little fix ups and we should be done. Timber flooring arrives tomorrow and will have to sit for a week before they can start laying (that's another story in itself)! have postponed carpets till after that's finished then the curtain people can come. SS was great and given us keys so we can paint which we started yesterday. Hard to believe we are now on the home run. so - we've got 12 days to go!! Any electricians here please help. 1) Will the Fan need separate switch to ON/OFF/Speed eventhough it comes with Remote 2) how about… 0 1205 go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 110564 |
