Re: Tamara1975 - Coral Homes Stradbroke 279. 66Jan 09, 2011 4:24 pm Yayyy. Our tender letter came today. It was dated 23rd Dec but our sales dude wason holiday do couldn't get it to us. Never mind, that is to be expected at christmas. We are pretty happy with it. There are a couple of things we have to ask about when we go through it with him. I am going over it with a fine tooth comb at the moment - talk about brain drain. I guess you get that when you make so many changes though. Overall we are very happy. Well, I am anyway. Hubby is working today so he hasn't seen it yet. So excited that we are making progress Re: Tamara1975 - Coral Homes - We have our tender letter!! 67Jan 10, 2011 12:07 pm Hi Tam! Just read through your thread ... you're not far from us, we're in Jimboomba. I love the Coral Homes especially the activity/kids area. Our friends have a pool just like the one you're getting ... I think they went through D!stinctive Pools?? I really like that waterfall ... it'll look awesome when it's finished Tamara1975 It is crazy having a pool before the house. It is subject to finance and it won't be built until the house is completed. We were the same ... we'd already picked the pool and paid the deposit before the house started Looking forward to following your build ... best of luck!!! Re: Tamara1975 - Coral Homes - We have our tender letter!! 68Jan 10, 2011 5:41 pm Hi Pebbles.I love Jimboomba!! We would have looked out there but we didn't want to change the kids schools. Maybe when the kids leave home. I am going to have a nosy at your thread now Re: Tamara1975 - Coral Homes - 69Jan 15, 2011 10:10 pm A small bit of progress today. We have ordered our contracts. They should be here in 1-2 weeks!! Yayyy. We should hear about finance next week. Not expecting any problems with that. Re: Tamara1975 - Coral Homes - 70Jan 16, 2011 8:56 am That pool looks awesome! (exactly the shape i'm after but I don't think we're going fibreglass so we're a bit restricted). My building thread : viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36059 Paid initial deposit 24/7/10 Tender appointment 20/8/2010 Flooring and tile appointment 25/9/10 Colour and Electrical appointment 13/9/10 December site start delayed Site start (YAY!) 17/1/11 Slab pour 1/2/2011 Re: Tamara1975 - Coral Homes - 71Jan 16, 2011 9:18 am Hi Building. We looked at fibreglass but hubby wants a deep pool. We couldn't get the depth without getting a long pool. It would be much less hassle getting fibreglass. I noticed your site stert is tomorrow!! Yayyyy. How exciting. Looking forward to seeing many pics. Re: Tamara1975 - Coral Homes - 72Jan 20, 2011 12:39 am Good on ya! it sounds like your home is making progress. we're building the same home on the Gold Coast and our plans are currently with the certifier, hopefully they wont be there too long so they can get onto building. Best of luck Anthony Re: Tamara1975 - Coral Homes - 73Jan 20, 2011 2:12 pm Thats awesome Anthony. Where are you building? Have you got a build thread? Re: Tamara1975 - Coral Homes - 74Jan 20, 2011 2:39 pm Tamara1975 Thats awesome Anthony. Where are you building? Have you got a build thread? we sure do, viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43162 We're building in coomera in a small estate called stone creek. i just made the thread last night, so ill have plenty to add over the next few months. Re: Tamara1975 - Coral Homes - 75Jan 21, 2011 12:49 pm Hi Tamara 1975 Your plan looks amazing and I love love love the pool. We want fibreglass but would love the waterfall thing on the end of the pool like you're having - all depends on the $$$$$. We, or rather I do things the odd way round too - our plans are not finished, but the colour scheme is chosen and the bedlinen bought - oh and cushions and a few things for the new kitchen !!! Also, as soon as we have the plan we are taking it to the pool guy and getting ours ordered too . Your plan is similar to ours in that you have the activity off the kids bedrooms, which I love about our plan and yours. I understand what peeps say about the toilet being off the activity as we have thought about that, but decided we are building the house to suit our family needs - not the guests! It's harsh, but initially we were looking at designs that would work for when our family come over so that they could have some privacy. We then had the lightbulb moment where we realised we were spending alot of money and it should be built to fit our family and everything else is secondary. I don't mind guests walking through our kids area - even if it is full of toys - it is a kids area after all, they should expect it! I totally understand what people are saying though and it is whether it bothers you really? I look forward to following your thread. We are due our plans next week, so who knows - we may order a pool like you Pops Re: Tamara1975 - Coral Homes - 76Jan 22, 2011 7:36 pm Hi pops!! I know what you mean about guests v's family living. We were going to put in a powder room but decided that it wasn't in our budget and also the kids toilet would be closer so guests would probably just use that anyway. Re: Tamara1975 - Coral Homes - 77Jan 25, 2011 4:16 pm Yay. Our contracts are being sent out next monday. Our sales dude should get them next Tuesday. I am impressed at how quickly Coral get things done. I just hope our build goes the same. LOL. We are still waiting for a definate confirmation on finance. We have been told "hopefully today" for a week now. Because we want to borrow a bit extra for landscaping etc and don't have quotes etc, it has to be approved by a creditor or something. Re: Tamara1975 - Coral Homes - 78Jan 25, 2011 5:35 pm It's so frustrating all this waiting at the start with nothing happening!! Yay for your contracts and 'hopefully' finance soon! Soooo over all the waiting - bring on the building already! Re: Tamara1975 - Coral Homes - 79Jan 25, 2011 6:35 pm We went out to our block and found that the neighbours in front of us have started. The pad looks really small so I think it might be a highset. It will look into our study and thats about it. Re: Tamara1975 - Coral Homes - 80Jan 27, 2011 3:02 pm We have unconditional approval on finance Woohoo. Contracts next week. We are up and away!! Joe, it depends on your certifier but we are noticing the ones we deal with are really cracking down. So i would recommend you follow your approved landscaping plans to… 4 6630 Hi Simeon, Thank you for laying it down for us. Makes sense. Appreciate it very much. Have a nice day. Cheers 2 4987 |
