I see it as a four bedroom house with study and three living areas rather than a five bedroom home with a study and two living areas. Re: Feedback wanted on a possible house plan 11Oct 31, 2010 7:38 pm tinkster Looking good neddy, and you've already had some stellar suggestions. Me, the only thing I'd do is put the sink on the bench under the servery window (which might kill the servery function BUT would give you a HUGE island with nothing in it, which tbh I'd prefer. Thats a ginormous kitchen! It is ginormous, isn't it! It's probably 2.5 times the size of my current kitchen!! If we did change where the sink is to the "servery" bench I'd get rid of the servery window and maybe have a splashback window or just a window! Re: Feedback wanted on a possible house plan 12Oct 31, 2010 7:39 pm yes, but are 5 bed homes worth 50k more? (even if you never use activity as a bedroom. I LOVE the idea of a shared activity for my kids, so I would only use it as such, but the next buyer...what if they were desperate for a 5 bedder and your house could give them that, all because you had a door that was hidden away in the wall etc) are there lots of 5 bedders around, or would yours then be easy to sell cos there arent many etc it is all about $$$$ and making some! I am sooo with you re 4 beds... I think it works best like that...but it is the 'having the option', if you know what I mean. you better build this...we are all very excited now! I see what you are saying but because of the "cut out" in the study (needed to try to get some light into it) it wouldn't be an overly private bedroom. And then, bed 3 would kind of be off bed 5. I'd better start buying some lotto tickets then! We are a long way off building this house - haven't even got the land yet!! (Very, very, very early stages of getting finance, ie. I got the mortgage broker in my office to do some rough figures for me!) Re: Feedback wanted on a possible house plan 14Oct 31, 2010 7:51 pm Thanks for the headsup kiwi! Hi Lioness! I haven't got anything to add to the above suggestions- I think they've covered everything I'd suggest already! Friends are havingthe window in the double shower area- great spot for shampoo etc too! Actually, afte another look...have you thought of puttingthe kitchen wher you currently have the dining table? At the momnet the kitchen will be the first thing you see when you enter the house....also, if you swap the kitchen/diningthen you can have a lovely dining area just inside the alfresco-which would be fantastic if you had the corner bifolds/stackers that kiwi mentioned. (my eyes are rubbish, its me age love) sorry, FORGET about my bed 5 ravings. it is crazy talk! sorry... keep it as a 4 bed, but hide a nice glass and wood cavity slider near the entrance to hide playstation people. Hey Dee that is funny that you mentioned that cos that is where the kitchen started! (By the way, I am the sister!) Re: Feedback wanted on a possible house plan 17Oct 31, 2010 8:01 pm *waves at FB! HI there- I thought I recognised the name! It just seems to me that the kitchen would work so much better over there with the rest of the house..... I know your mum (no I dont! heee heee ) yes the kitchen on that bed wall... dining in front of window, open it up and it is like you are alfrescoing it but you are still inside! and the view is of the dining table with a chandelier... not dirty pots. now, go buy a lotto ticket Re: Feedback wanted on a possible house plan 19Oct 31, 2010 8:05 pm Are you listening FB? Absolutely agree on the wasted space. We have no desire for the master to be that oversized, but it occurred when we increased the depth of the garage.
