Hopefully the painter is back today or tomorrow to finish up all his bits. Not long to go but I would be totally impatient as well knowing how close you are. Yay to the bargain dishwasher! We said we'd never build again.... Re: Our SPH build - Ellenbrook - PCI done - 17 sleeps till k 82Feb 21, 2011 12:26 pm You will get it sorted out What dishwasher are you getting? I was going to buy one in Christmas sales but went on productreview.com.au and so many of the ones I picked had flaws and people were complaining so I decided to wait and buy one after proper research. contract 10/11 prestart 04/10 slab 06/10 bricks 07/10 roof 09/10 plaster 10/10 Ceiling 10/10 LOCKUP 10/10 tiling wet areas 11/10 garage floor 11/10 PCI 12.01.11 handover 11.02.11 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=39361&hilit=malvern+springs We are in !!! Re: Our SPH build - Ellenbrook - PCI done - 17 sleeps till k 83Feb 21, 2011 1:09 pm I'm getting a Bosch. It has good reviews on here. Its for $1099 now at Kambos, was $1199 at xmas and is currently $1298 at Good Guys, they have $1749 written as standard price. Its quiet and had quite a few features. DH was trying to get me to buy another one cos its only $499 - was $1499, its a discontinued model - its a Bosch and integrated meaning need a cabinet made to 'stick' to the dishwasher door, but has less features, and with the expense of the cabinet door I think I'll go for the one I want. Sending all my paperwork to the bank now! Re: Our SPH build - Ellenbrook - PCI done - 17 sleeps till k 84Feb 21, 2011 11:00 pm good choice with the Bosch. i'm eyeing up a Bosch at the moment. model i'm looking at is SMU65M15AU http://www.bosch-home.com.au/appliances ... rce=browse SEZZA'S BANKSIA DESIGNER viewtopic.php?f=31&t=33423 Building with SPH SOR - Baldivis. 3/5/10 Prestart 30/5/10 Final Plans Arrive 18/8/10 Siteworks 26/8/10 Slab 14/9/10-14/10/10 Bricks (2 Man Team) 25/10/10 Roof Frame and Roof Tiles 15/11/10 Rendering -Inside walls and Front of House Lock up and Locked Out!!! 10/12[/size] Re: Our SPH build - Ellenbrook - PCI done - 17 sleeps till k 85Feb 22, 2011 10:24 am Its the SMS63M08AU that I'm getting. We were looking at the Askos and they were on sale last month for $1k but in white and real basic features, and then their extended warranty $ more. So I'll give this one a go - if I complain shoot me and tell me to do the dishes by hand like always! Re: Our SPH build - Ellenbrook - PCI done - 17 sleeps till k 86Feb 22, 2011 1:00 pm Carpet is booked for 10th March. Meeting landscaper for front next Tues. Its all happening! Re: Our SPH build - Ellenbrook - PCI done - 17 sleeps till k 87Feb 22, 2011 6:44 pm I have a Bosch SMU69M05AU, had it about 10 months now I think. They are so, so quiet which is fantastic. Only downside I have found is the drying of plasticware is poor. I had a F&P dishdrawer before this and it dried everything so well so it took a bit of getting used to. Otherwise they are great machines. Also have one of their dryer and washing mashines. How exciting, must feel so good to have things booked in! We said we'd never build again.... Re: Our SPH build - Ellenbrook - keys this Friday! 88Feb 23, 2011 1:16 pm WELL the bank processed the payment today and everything will be done by Friday so we shall have the keys Friday afternoon!!! Re: Our SPH build - Ellenbrook - keys this Friday! 89Feb 23, 2011 1:25 pm Congrats , Hope all goes well for the keys. My Last Dishwasher was a bosch and it was good but I have gotten used to the two draw Fisher and Paykel now and find it great. Good luck with handover. Did you have to ring Telstra re your phone connection? DH did ring only my service provider and they didn't mention anything about ringing Telstra - remember some people here mentioning that they have to come and test connection? Yes praying no bank gliches! Going there Friday arvo with my Moet, a mop and paint sample pots. And towels to test out the double shower!!! As we are in new area we have something called Velocity - my tv signal and phone all run in together. You will have to ring Telstra and get a connection done and set up an account for your new address - although you may have choice to use Optus or other. You'll be paying a $299 connection, which I think everyone gets slugged with, and you may wait 2 weeks for them to come out. Re: Our SPH build - Ellenbrook - keys this Friday! 92Feb 23, 2011 3:00 pm Hmmm - I'm assuming that our provider would do that for us if not I'll only have internet at work until things are sorted... tooo tired to think anymore... re garage door - they told us that B&D had huge delays because of the floods so how do we argue with that!!! I do hope they will install it as advised - next week on Tuesday... Re: Our SPH build - Ellenbrook - keys this Friday! 95Feb 24, 2011 3:43 pm Hi Dragonfly... finally got around to joining up...(kat16 from WWA).. Just finished reading thru your thread and having a look at your house.. It looks gorgeous... Love the entry floor.. Congrats on handover tomorrow.. Enjoy the bubbly!! On your advice, I rang the fence place and have sent off our plans for a quote. And also called the landscaping place and waiting to hear back from the guy.. But as I have read so far, that probably wont be happening any time soon so wont hold my breath when they say by the end of the week, seeing as thats tomorrow!! Glad to have finally found this site and fellow Malvern Springs builders... I really thought this day would never come. Cant wait to get life back in order, destress and look after myself - I look and feel like crap. Will get lots of photos up when things look pretty. All us Malvern Springs ladies will have to get together. Re: Our SPH build - Ellenbrook - its all ours now! 97Feb 25, 2011 5:07 pm Congrats dragonfly.... The feeling must be a massive weight of the shoulders!! Enjoy opening the door for the first time one your own What a great way to end the week!!! Just curious... The things that were picked up from your PCI, did you check they were fixed before handover or is it done at handover?? Just curious as we have to send our paperwork off to Keystart for final payment etc but it says something about being happy with the end product or something along those lines, so we werent sure whether we get to inspect our house again then send off the forms or just send them now and hope its all done. Hehe! I mopped the main tiling as it wasnt done because it wasnt in contract. What a F#&(*n mission!!! My shirt was covered in sweat, dripping as I mopped - and I'm a girl who doesnt put that much effort in at the gym!!! Do about 10m of tiles then need new bucket of water its that dirty. Have blisters from the mop. Now to go back to the house and wheelbarrow soil conditioner to the back yard, Dh decided he wants retic and lawn by end of week. We didnt check anything from PCI before handover. There was nothing major so wasnt worried. Bank did EFT and I also did EFT on our small amount.
