Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 23, 2007 6:13 pm Hi everyone!
Been absent for a few weeks.......... had our ISP changed (from Optus to Netspace). Couldn't connect to the internet for several days... we used our old modem which is not supported by our new ISP, so had to configure it again. Good news! Got our developer approval from Stockland last 30 October. Finally! All the outstanding issues with the plans, that weren't reflected after contract signing, were addressed yesterday....... everything's perfect (on paper!). So we already have the construction plans! We were even asked by our colour consultant to re-check our colour schedule yesterday so in case we want to change it, we still have the time to change it up to today. And we did! We reviewed our colour schedule and changed the location of the cupboard door handles, hehe. Nothing to change anymore. We've been exchanging emails, calls, plans, etc. more than once a day. Everytime we see something wrong/missing, we inform them and they were so quick to address it. Our builder is going to order the materials on Monday and we are set to commence building 1st week of December! I'm updating our blog and will soon share it with all of you guys! Need to keep up with previous posts..... lots of reading to do tonight! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Re: I'm back! We're building in two weeks' time! 8Feb 03, 2008 2:31 pm Hi V & J,
We're also building in a Stockland Estate..Parks of Bellevue Hill (North western Melbourne suburb). We're just awaiting for the quote from the builder. We had to change the design a little i.e. 25 degree roof pitch, portico's roofing (as we're building a double story, the entrance can't be central of the house)...we too are looking into the landscaping issues and i think we're going to be going with pine chips in the beginning...for areas without vegetation....and look into the kind of atmosphere we'd like after the house is up...something low maintenance would be good It's good to see you making progress with our metricon home. Re: I'm back! We're building in two weeks' time! 9Feb 04, 2008 12:45 pm Hi blessedpeople,
Stockland creates nice communities... Quote: It's good to see you making progress with our ***** home. Are you also building with M? Yes, Stockland normally requires 25 degrees roof pitch, mid-grey slim-line roof tiles, turn-the-corner feature (for corner lots), etc. They normally give free front landscaping (though just the basic turf and small no. of plants). Do you have free fence? We have it, that's why it looks nice because the colour is uniform across the estate. Keep us posted of your developments. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Re: I'm back! We're building in two weeks' time! 11Feb 11, 2008 7:35 pm Although I answered this already (PM)... for other people's info (it might help), we were charged $330. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping!
