Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 25, 2010 10:47 am Hi All, We are currently looking at going with a company here in Melbourne called Sloping Block Builders (http://www.slopingblockbuilders.com.au/) to build our new home on our sloping block. Our block has a 12m rise from the street (only about 4m over the building envelope) and they have come back to us and say they can build within our budget. Has anyone out there used them and can provide some feedback on their workmanship, service and support? Thanks Joel. Any feedback on your dealings with them? Thanks! DO NOT sign any contracts with these guys, make sure you turn the other way and run, otherwise all you will get is DELAYS/EXCUSES/HIDDEN COSTS and DISAPPOINTMENT! Do a search for "Infantino Constructions" and see what other unhappy customers have to say. I can't comment further on that but I think a specialist will have a long history in the field plus current relevant experience. The specialist should be able to demonstrate both. Any help comments will be appreciated. Thanks. Re: Sloping Block Builders - Melbourne (anyone built with th 10May 15, 2013 8:54 pm We are currently building with Sloping Block Builders. It appears they no longer use Infantino. At least they aren't being used for our build. It's still early days for us but no major problems so far and they've been very flexible which is great for us. It's a slower build (but we knew and expected that as most completely custom builds are). We expect to be in sometime between December - March. We had heard bad reviews about poor communication etc but so far so good for us. If we call and leave them a message we get a return phone call within 24hrs. Emails are usually responded to much quicker.
