Secretly I am jealous of everyones MASSIVE oven & stove top OH Tam - seriously don't be! If you don't cook a lot, it really isn't worth it. I don't do as much as what I used to but when I do I think it will be cool to fit two trays of biscuits or bacon bread, muffins etc on one shelf. Other than that - it's more to clean AND to be honest, I have recently said to DH how DUMB I am not to have looked into the model further as I didn't notice the oven timer and how it works (I think it will annoy me) and I am really used to having a digital clock read out on my oven and this one doesn't! GRRRR! OH well! Next house, I am going to get a big freestanding one. Back to the packing!! I seriously have way too many clothes for myself and my children!! Re: MKLJ's Preston by the Coast 377Feb 20, 2011 11:07 am I'm used to having a digital one as well. What's the timer on our oven like then?? I use the oven timer for everything!! Even when cooking on stove. It's pretty handy. I do pretty much all the cooking at our house!! I love it!! That stove and oven is gonna get a good workout!! Re: MKLJ's Preston by the Coast 378Feb 20, 2011 1:25 pm Yes I use it for stove cooking also. The timer dial only goes up in ten minute increments. It also has an auto cut off function so the oven cuts out after a certain amount of time on the timer, I am hoping this function can be turned off! I would imagine you can. Its more the ten minute thing, I regularly cook things or use it for two minutes, 15 minutes etc....gonna be annoying having to guess. Hi Kel, Love the shower screens - I wondered how they would look as well but nice and private with two little boys running around the house! We have the same stupid timer in the rental and I broke it when I turned it the wrong way - what happens is it turns the oven off (WT?) and if you turn it the wrong way you break the little plastic thingy inside and then the oven doesn't work!! so we don't use it anymore - we use the timer on the microwave instead. It must have been a man who invented it! We both love to cook so we are having a 900 cooktop but only a 600 oven as there are only the two of us. Kel - I want your recipe for bacon bread - sounds good! Busy week this week - my slab on Tuesday hopefully, catch up on Wednesday and your keys on Thursday - WOO HOO!!
