Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building the Amazon with Trevelle Homes 41Apr 07, 2011 10:30 pm OK, Quick update - in short still very busy onsite - I promise photos real soon. Most if not all of the minor issues have been nutted out, the rear door issue is all sorted - the top row of bricks where removed and the bar above raised up allowing the door to be raised along with the others as well - I think it has been done. All in all looking great. The electricals, plumbing, AC and insulation all done - tomorrow is all go for the plaster team to kick off, a couple of days late but who is counting Side is all cleaned up and scraped. Waterproofing and draining on the balcony is my next little worry - if not the plaster might get wet - need to have a chat - our ss is off for a couple of days sick - Hope he is OK... Each one of the teams has been super quick with a few days in between. Bye for now.... Re: Building the Amazon with Trevelle Homes 42Apr 17, 2011 10:07 pm OK - Picture time, Still lots of activity, doors and plastering mostly. The heavy rain on the weekend wet some of the plaster board - nothing that cant be sorted. Have you found any problems thus far building with Trevelle? Are you building in Sydney? BBall Re: Building the Amazon with Trevelle Homes 45Jul 10, 2011 7:26 pm BBall, Still going well, if i had to say anything it would be that they are a little slow at times and because we are a little picky it is a little more hands on than we expected, but in the same token, I see it as a trade off with the flexibility that the bigger builders just did not offer. In short my only issues have been with the delays that fixing/changing items seemed to have introduced but we happy with the quality and finish of the house to date. Yes we are in South Western Sydney. Will try and put up some more photos soon. SOS Re: Building the Amazon with Trevelle Homes 46Jul 18, 2011 9:22 pm Quick update The tilers have been working flat out on our wet areas and the plumber arrived for some more of the outside plumbing today as well - painters have completed the first coat and we have our stairs in as well. Your build seems to have been fairly stress free the end result is just gorgeous. Well done. Can I ask is your garage door Dune? We are having a Dune garage door, but never seem to be able to tell what colour is what Is your house a standard plan from Trevelle or a custom design? Re: Building the Amazon with Trevelle Homes - Updated Pics P 58Jan 05, 2012 10:45 am Hi Gogo Thank you we are very happy with the house, yes looking back it was fairly stressfree but at the time it didn't seem that way. Too many decisions to make every week, I felt like we stalked every new home in Sydney looking for colours We still have lots to do, pool and back landscaping etc . The garage door, render on the portico and window frames are all dune. If you need a close up of the garage door let me know I can post one for you. The design was orginally based off one of Trevelle's plans but we customised it due to our block shape, living requirements and fussy children not to mention council having their say, so it sort of grew It was a bit stressful not knowing what it was going to look like or be functional until it was built. Are you building with Trevelle? Re: Building the Amazon with Trevelle Homes - Updated Pics P 59Jan 05, 2012 11:14 am WOW thanks for the pic fest sos your home is stunning Love the home theatre room & I like the idea of the lotion bottles in the niches.
