soul wonder
Hi Andynmel.
Yeah we`re happy with our brickwork so far. We`re also happy that our facade had the roof tiles fitted today.
Did you have time to look at your new fence today? We noticed that a portaloo was delivered today on the vacant
block next door to you so construction can`t be too far away.

Yeah, I made a special trip today to check on the fence and to have a look at the electrical fitoff which apparently was completed yesterday.
Firstly, the fence, not a great job but I can't be bothered arguing about it as given the side it's on we'll barely notice that every colourbond panel seems to be at a different height rather than a nice even look. I took a look from inside our house (yes inside, more on that later) and it's hardly noticeable, but I'll get someone other than Jim's Fencing to do to the remainder to the footpath. The owner of that lot has a fence to the garage included in their contract.
I also noticed the portaloo delivery on our garage side neighbour. I'd been expecting it as I'd spoken to the owner late last week about fencing our joint boundary and he thought earthworks should have started already.
I'm a bit disappointed that we still haven't had our brickwash, it was supposed to happen last week.
I was pleasantly surprised today when I got to our build to find our carpet layers onsite, no work done as yet, they were just having a look to see what our job entails. The surprise was because it meant I got to go INSIDE!!!
Everything seems okay with the electrical work, a couple of light fittings still aren't fitted and we are still awaiting the remaining taps for completion of the plumbing fitoff and I could see no reason why MyPlace still lists tiling as pending. Basically carpet is the last remaining item on our list of things to be done.
Having said that there is still quite a few items still to be done, ie security system, door handles, doorstops, shower screens, etc. Since I was there on Saturday the electrical work had been done and we've had our bathroom/ensuite mirrors installed as well as shelving in the robes, pantry & linen press.
Most of the photos I took were to do with power points and stuff so nothing too exciting.
