Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 08, 2010 3:55 pm Just wondering if anyone else has built in muswellbrook and if they can offer any assistance. I've been exploring all avenues and it is a maze. Sent through a rough idea of what I wanted to a number of people (about 220m2 home) one builder told me it was between 500,000 and 750,000 to build such a house. So then started looking at prefab homes first quote 397,000 next quote 247,000 for the same design. Am waiting for quotes on some of the kit home mobs and builders at this stage I'm leaning toward beresferd kitome has anyone had any dealings with them as I have to do it all over the phone as arranging it from interstate. Re: Looking for any assistance on building in Muswellbrook 2Oct 08, 2010 6:41 pm Seems like a huge amount of money for that sized home even with building in Muswellbrook. Do you have a difficult block of land? The main issue with both prefab and kit homes is getting finance so one of the first things when considering these is to ensure that the funds are going to be available before proceeding too far. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Looking for any assistance on building in Muswellbrook 3Oct 08, 2010 8:58 pm Yeah already looked into finance so that's not an issue. And the quotes were before site visits the price differences are scarely. I think they hear I'm living in a qld mining town and its like a photographer hearing wedding they get a bit over excited. Do you know anything about the kitome group? Re: Looking for any assistance on building in Muswellbrook 4Oct 08, 2010 9:12 pm There are a few people building kit homes not sure of exact companies. Raleighfarm is one plus another H1 member who's house is complete. Do a search (top button) on kitome and they should show up. Some things are worth waiting for.
