First we get censored by builder now by moderator. I don't understand why I can't say who is moving in next door. Why I'm allowed to say that new Irish neighbors are rude but not Arab neighbors are rude What has nationality got to do with it...your neighbours, in your opinion, are rude. Full stop. It shouldn't cost me more then $250 after the calculations and it will look better too. Still waiting for the electrician. Re: Malvern Springs by Aga and Bob - Scott Parks issues 524Mar 14, 2011 10:38 am so did you get the fence before you got the price?? I have emailed them, and the landscaper and have had no replies. After seeing the price i think I will just get DP to buy a gate kit from bunnings and do it himself. I called LWP to see if there were any rules to what we could and couldn't get...but she said the only thing is we cant have colourbond. I was thinking a nice slimline panel gate made of that nice Jarrah looking wood? The road to success is always under construction House completed April 2011 - slowly making it a home... How did that go and any recommendations? Sorry guys I was busy with my backyard landscaping. Paver sealant was from bunnings and was around $60 for 5l. Application is a breeze if you but it in the bottles with dispenser. It took me about 40 min to seal the alfresco and came handy as next day our guests spilled white and red wine. Washed off - no problem . Recommend it to everyone. Cristy got me jealous with her backyard so I decided to finish mine too. As I wanted a lot of tropical plants there, I had to dig out and replace 3 cubic meters of sand with proper soil. Then together with my oldest son we leveled the backyard, lay it with 2 cubic meters of cracker base and put synthetic grass. All what's left now is the bali hut to be build, paving and brick outside kitchen I already got the BBQ All my joints are killing me, the blisters are bigger then my hands and DH was useless as usual But in the end I have almost finished beautiful backyard. Kids spend all the time on the grass with their books or laptops. My hot water is still an issue and I have to say I never met anyone as rude as the SPH construction Manager. Not only is she completely retarded but manners are not in her dictionary. At the moment they took my Deluxe controller and replaced it with the one which doesn't measure the water volume (the only reason I bought it) and told me I signed for this one at the prestart. Pure scam. How are we supposed to know what model number is the item they offer us It's the same like with Zarli's grout - they do typo and we are supposed to pay for it now. I'm so shocked. The way she talked to me was like I was a pest and she grew up in the slums. Now I know that even if SPH would be the last builder I would never build with them my next house. They are thieves and they DO SUCK - even that someone censored my thread title again Besides that - life is good, I'm completely broke and broken and I missed all of you contract 10/11 prestart 04/10 slab 06/10 bricks 07/10 roof 09/10 plaster 10/10 Ceiling 10/10 LOCKUP 10/10 tiling wet areas 11/10 garage floor 11/10 PCI 12.01.11 handover 11.02.11 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=39361&hilit=malvern+springs We are in !!! Re: Malvern Springs by Aga and Bob - Scott Parks issues 529Apr 11, 2011 1:04 pm I cant believe what they are doing to you regarding your hot water. That is sooo crapp. I hope its sorted and hope you dont have to deal with SPH for a long time! When we got keys our builder gave us a survey to fill out, boy did i have fun with that You sound like you have been busy Aga i cant believe you've done your backyard already. Mine is a sandpit with broken glass and rubbish all through it, now all my window tracks and door tracks dont slide very well because the sand keeps blowing through it all. Sorry to hear about DH being a lazy sod - kick his bum! I am trying to convince DP to seal the driveway and alfresco - he not interested. Although he reversed the trailer on the weekend and left black tyre marks hopefully i can get them off with the high pressure cleaner then convince him sealing is a good idea. Where did you get your synthetic grass from?? Its so expensive I dotn think I can afford it Saw your car at work on saturday - you must work long hours on saturday The road to success is always under construction House completed April 2011 - slowly making it a home... Re: Malvern Springs by Aga and Bob - Scott Parks issues 530Apr 22, 2011 3:44 pm hi everyone I just found this forum today, we are thinking about building the City Beach Classico version with Scott Park, one of our biggest sticking points was that there are no photos on their website of the house and they do not have a show home to look at, it has been good to see some photos on this thread. I wonder if anyone could possibly either post on here or email me a few more photos of their house, the ones I would be really interested in are of the kitchen from a few different angles, maybe showing the door through to the laundry, also of the family / dining areas, maybe one looking towards the alfresco taken from the entrance to the family room and one taken from the opposite end looking towards the entrance, also one showing the alfresco taken from the garden - not asking for much I know We were also thinking of doing away with the wall which forms the office and just extending the family room, has anyone else done this or have any thoughts on doing it, any advice would be greatfully recieved as we have never built before thanks in advance D Re: Malvern Springs by Aga and Bob - Scott Parks issues 531Apr 22, 2011 4:47 pm Aga, you poor thing having to deal with all of their crap. You haven't had a great time with them at all. Are you going to be getting the controller back that you wanted? or are you stuck with that one? Sounds like you have been productive with the garden. You should post some pics Have a great Easter xx Re: Malvern Springs by Aga and Bob - Scott Parks issues 532Apr 27, 2011 12:59 am we are wanting to have LED down lighters installed in our family, dining and alfesco areas of the house but would rather not use the builders for this as they are expensive, can anyone tell me if the builders would let us use our own electrician to install them before the ceilings are painted ? I have a feeling the answer will be no but thought I would ask anyway Re: Malvern Springs by Aga and Bob - Scott Parks issues 533Apr 28, 2011 11:00 am Lights go in after painting the ceiling anyway. But we didnt get our downlights done through them, just asked for junction boxes in the areas we wanted down lights and did them after handover. You can not do anything to the house before handover.
