Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 04, 2010 1:35 pm Hi I am very confused on which obscure glazing I should choose for my bathroom windows I have the choice of the below Spotswood Translucent Satinlite - White White Cathedral I want to try not to have a blind over these windows. Has anyone got any of the above and what is your opion on them. Cheers Re: Obscure glazing to bathroom windows 2Oct 04, 2010 2:01 pm Wow - our choice was obscure or clear, so I have no idea!!! Re: Obscure glazing to bathroom windows 4Oct 04, 2010 2:05 pm I've got cathedral glazing on my bathroom windows; it kinda looks like what they do on the news to obscure people's faces (that's the only way I could think of to describe it ) Just during this past week I have noticed that it's very hard to see through as I've been trying to see if the tap has been installed for my basin and I really can't tell even standing right up against the window. So IMHO it would be fine to have no blinds with that type of window as all you could see from outside is shapes moving with no definition. Having said that my friend has translucent glazing and it seems to do a similar job so I guess it depends on what you like the look of. I suggest you google to find some images of each type of glazing and go with what looks nicest to you. Good luck Re: Obscure glazing to bathroom windows 5Oct 05, 2010 8:52 am Purple Butterfly We have satinlite, if you look in my thread you can see what it's like, we love it! Thanks malrose Yeah I think we get heaps of natural light in there, I notice you can see out of them but when trying to look in I couldn't make out anything, not sure how it is at night with lights on etc as we're not living there yet. I'm very happy with what we chose though . Re: Obscure glazing to bathroom windows 7Oct 05, 2010 11:16 am We have satinlite. Didn't realise that's what it was called but just checked. We had the choice of 3 and the other two looked old fashioned. This pic is pre-clean, but I like it and it doesn't seem to be any less private than any of the others I've seen This is one of the reasons I decided to go overseas for my double glazed windows.
