We will see if Masterton make a difference. As there office in Canberra opened a couple of weeks ago. http://www.mastertoncanberra.com.au As myself I'm waiting for the Googong development next year. As prices in Canberra are crazy for land and Builders. Masterton have made a difference from what I've been looking at. Their prices are very competitive. Re: Canberra > Molonglo Valley > Wright 23Dec 13, 2010 3:46 pm Hi Do you guys meeting tomorrow at Canberra centre to discuss asbestos issue? I would like to join and discuss as it asbestos stuff is too risky Re: Canberra > Molonglo Valley > Wright 24Dec 13, 2010 3:52 pm Masterton is competitive only for project homes...they don't do custom built and that is a bit of a worry Re: Canberra > Molonglo Valley > Wright 25Apr 13, 2011 9:25 am The latest advice I have heard of this week is that everything is on track for settlement and this is likely to be in September 2011 for blocks within Stage 1A. Apparently there are no delays due to the North Weston ponds issue as this is not on the Wright site and in fact some 700m away from the nearest block. Work on Wright has and is continuing as normal. Has anyone heard from a builder than he cannot even ballpark quote for Wright 1A as it is too far into the future as delays are expected? Re: Canberra > Molonglo Valley > Wright 26Apr 18, 2011 9:17 am guys Have you heard any refunded for land in Molonglo due to the asbestos? we should be stepped up in group to discuss how to deal with this. so if yuo like to make a time for meeting in civic then let me know. Re: Canberra > Molonglo Valley > Wright 27Apr 20, 2011 4:43 pm I know that land has been returned by a few people to LDA in Stage 1A both pre-Stamp Duty payment date and post stamp duty deadline and probably after the Asbestos news aswell - but do not know the reasons.
Few questions to ponder here: 1. Is the Asbestos situation really an issue? 2. If it is, what sor of impact? 3. Why isn't there more talk about it, why are people applying and buying in Wright 2? I am ready for a meeting but I think we should have more people in and go to the meeting with some more knowledge of the current situation. Have you read the reviews about masterton on productreviews? What do you think? Re: Canberra > Molonglo Valley > Wright 29Apr 20, 2011 10:36 pm From what I have read on here then seem to be pretty good. I have a friend who built with them in Jerrabomberra about 3 years ago as well and he is very happy with the house and the price he got from them. The main issue I see Masterton is that the planing stage can take a long time. Other than that you have to keep on top of everything that is happening, just like any other builder. I have already spoken to the guys in Canberra and the guy down at Batesman Bay as well and the all seem pretty nice. They also gave me some good advice as well about a few things, and both offices have heaps of people waiting for the Googong development to start. As for me, still saving and waiting for the Googong development to start. How are people progressing with their home design plans, approved or still working on finalising plans to avoid lodging the $5000 bond? I'm the latter. Problem is my land is sloping 1.5 meters, and I don't have the final contours! I've been advised I'll get them in a few weeks, which is cutting it pretty short. The land is due to settle in Sept/Oct. thanks guys! yes this is how I've exactly raised it with the builder. still awaiting response. 12 6026 Wow I hadn't realised things had gotten that pricey in just a couple of years since I built, that is crazy with how much land is now costing if you aren't lucky enough to… 3 7053 |
