Re: Canberra > Molonglo Valley > Wright 43Nov 21, 2011 7:51 pm Site classifications for anyone in Stage 1a are now availabled Here. I'd expect final contour surverys to be available shortly. Speaking with LDA, once site works are complete in 1A, it takes about 2 weeks to have the crown leases issues, then there is a 30 working day notice period for settlement, so at the very least 1A will be settling around mid January. I was wondering if Asbestos is still an issue. Should we get an Asbestos accessor to survey the lot before settling. Has anybody else done this? On a separate note, has anybody finalised the design? The restrictions are driving me crazy. Cheers, Ans Re: Canberra > Molonglo Valley > Wright 49Feb 14, 2012 8:22 pm Hi, We're settling on Friday...so excited! We've got our plan approved and should start building in about 2 weeks or so. After waiting so long, I can hardly believe we're finally at this stage! For ans- I followed up with the LDA on the asbestos matter. The LDA actually commissioned a company to do some random asbestos sampling on Wright 1A-before the May 2011 asbestos issue was in the media. According to the LDA's report the results from asbestos sampling were negative on our block and around Wright 1A. The LDA gave me the option to sit in their office and read the massive report for as long as I liked. If you are still concerned call the LDA and ask to see the report. It has put my mind at ease on the asbestos matter. Re: Canberra > Molonglo Valley > Wright 51Aug 06, 2012 11:26 am hows everybody going? Last i heard only 2 houses had certificates if occupancy is anybody in block AK want to see some neighbors on here! Re: Canberra > Molonglo Valley > Wright 52Aug 08, 2012 12:07 pm Hi, we are frustratingly close, the painters didn't turn up for 3 weeks and pushed our completion date out. Anyway, we are hoping to be in end of the month/ first week of September. Is AK, section 11? Re: Canberra > Molonglo Valley > Wright 53Aug 12, 2012 10:37 pm yes its section 11 interesting you say that about painters that is exactly what my builder said as well... everything is going very fast and I keep commentating on this, but told not to hold my breath as when it comes to some tradies like painters, it can be slowwwwwwww I'm not in yet, maybe end of November. Re: Canberra > Molonglo Valley > Wright 54Aug 30, 2012 11:27 pm Hi Everyone Just letting you know vandals broke into our nearly completed house two nights ago and burnt our kitchen pendant lights. Haven't got a clue what they were trying to do but fortunately they didn't burn the place down and we're still scheduled to get the keys in 2 weeks! Make sure your builder keeps a close eye on your house! Re: Canberra > Molonglo Valley > Wright 55Oct 03, 2012 2:37 pm farout you serious.... hopefully now there are more ppl that have moved in, it will deter more pests! thanks guys! yes this is how I've exactly raised it with the builder. still awaiting response. 12 6064 Wow I hadn't realised things had gotten that pricey in just a couple of years since I built, that is crazy with how much land is now costing if you aren't lucky enough to… 3 7135 |
