Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 28, 2010 8:23 pm G'gay all, I am a newbie to this forum, so please be gentle! I have been lucky enough to secure a block at McCauleys Beach, THIRROUL. The site details are: 1) plot size 677 m2, about 40 x 16.5 m. 2) 1 metre fall rear to front (pretty damn flat). 3) Expected ground conditions: Class H I am trying to work out what I should budget for site establishment costs, and application/design fees. If anyone could give some advice, I would really appreciate it. In particular, I would like to know: a) Documentation/application costs. The house will be a complying development. i.e. not go through council but through a building certifier, and the design will need to be reviewed by the (Stocklansds) estate design committee. b) Cut & Fill costs. Note: there will be no vegetation to worry about. c) Foundation costs. d) other costs? As an indication of what house we are planning, we are looking at the Barrington Rochester (2 storey, 36 sq.), or EB Entertainer. Thankyou very much in advance for your advice.
